Why are people fighting

Dear brother,

I am not talking all religions.

But when it comes down to Satan worshipers who worship him outright and the followers of the leader of the time who is God's Baha to the world and the light that encompasses everything in the universe and is everywhere with all things and God's seat on his creation, One is trying to extinguish God's light while the followers of the light are holding on to dear life and are oppressed by the deceivers (may God curse them, their followers, supporters, and those who don't oppose them but are content and apathetic to their actions).

Outside of that, the conflicts are really petty.
I have stopped criticism of other religious beliefs, so I have no answer to you on this.

You are a soft hearted and wish well for humans. I hope God strengthens you to join believers be they hated and notorious in the vision of oppressive people and I pray you distance yourself and don't include yourself among an oppressive people and understand why God didn't stop at "guide us the straight path", but indicated a clue of it, "the path of those who you favored (your religion upon humanity) upon/regarding" and Quran explains who God specially favored with his religion and who he wants humans to approach, but it's not good enough to just want to be guided on their path... so it didn't stop there, and emphasized on being aware of evil creatures in God's sight "other then those who your wrath is upon nor of those who astray" and there are degrees, but we are to not walk their ways and be aware of them "and do not incline/seek tranquility from a people who are oppressive (oppressive towards their own very souls and others) so that hell touches you" and "O you who believe, do not take advisors except from yourselves...."

By the way, we all want peace. Both sides but one is described in Quran as such "when it is told to them do not make havoc in the earth, they say we are only setters aright (in the land)" "Alas, it is they who are the havoc causers in the land but they don't perceive".

Truth is Yazid killed Imam Hussain (a) because of this perspective. Everyone claims to want peace, but who is causing havoc in the land?

The Prophets (a) before Mohammad (s) were often killed by "setters aright/reformers in the land/peace makers" and Mohamad's (s) family were killed one by one, poisoned, or tortured in jailed or slaughtered, etc, because they saw them as sorcerers and that the world will lose it's freedom. This is the truth about the opponents of Ahlulbayt (a). They opposed them for not just greed for temporary rule, but to prevent their rule out of creed of their debauched sexual freedoms pre-Islam and hid their disbelief while testifying to Islam outwardly.

It's clear and it's clear how blind they are to their own oppressive ways towards other humans.

I believe in showing the soft and compassion path to God. Not with hate and discredit of others belief.

I believe in showing the soft and compassion path to God. Not with hate and discredit of others belief.

If you can combine the two, having compassion for the astray and lost, while hating and discrediting falsehood, it would be the best way.

God has compassion for disbelievers, but he doesn't like them/adore them/praise them. His compassion is such that every day, he is trying to save as much as he can, anyone he can, but he won't change his word now, no going back, Iblis and the fight for souls, is a word he is not backing out of.

Perhaps, if God knew the results, he would never have allowed it to happen, but all of this, from Adam (a) swerving to humans following idols among humans instead of leaders appointed by God, none of this was meant to happen.

It's a spiritual madness and illness we inherit, hating truth and loving falsehood or being apathetic for truth for sake of love of the Dunya that passes away, but we will be held accountable for how we responded to the sent ones by God (mursaleen).

People aren't sincere to God, because it's the culture of insincerity. We don't care about others to attempt to remind them and guide them and influence them towards the correct path (of course it's up to them to decide, and we can't actually guide them, up to God to permit and he doesn't change a condition of a people unless they change themselves).

The Quran warns so we heed warnings and break this chain of insincerity. But it warns it might not happen, even probably won't happen, and almost definitely won't happen if the previous generations deny the signs.

All we can do in these dark times is hope and do our best in waiting for the return of the Mahdi the holy king of our time among humans. The waiting should be both hopeful for good results but even more so in need, is fear of the warnings and bad results.

My own religion
Because:

- people think their religious beliefs and true and very important.
- no religion has enough support for the arguments to be settled by evidence.

Well, to me that extends to other versions of metaphysics than idealism and some claims of rationalism and/or empiricism that doesn't stand up. It is not limited to religion.

Sure. I think peace however is only something that can be achieved in incremental periods of stability, but is never permanent.

That's just noting the reality of humanity and nature.
Didn't Buddha teach peace from within? You can't control others, only your own being

Why are so many people fighting over religious beliefs

It's driving me nuts o_O

Heres my take, religion and politics are peas from the same pod,I don’t see it as fighting but rather some hard questioning, people in the proselytising religions when confronted by this hard questioning feel under attack, after all proselytising is really a one way street right?,that’s of course imo.

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.

Buddha never taught control. He taught a path for realization.

Your probably thinking of the Taming of the Ox where things thrash and buck wildly and associated struggles to calm it down.
