I wanted an avatar which would express peace, wisdom, intelligence, knowledge & success.......& groundskeeping.

I don't proclaim to know what Vaishnava is but looking at the avatar, I get a sense of love and protection.
Yeah, that's peaceful. And I like how Krishna has his legs crossed, like he's just hanging out, like he's just one of the guys. That's awesome.
Crosses are solemn & religious.I have a bunch of Tigger pics on my computer and I change them ever so often. At first, I used a cross as an avatar. As soon as I switched over to a Tigger pic (the first I used was from The Tigger Movie, which I had seen with my nieces and son when they were little) that I was using at another forum, people started treated me differently. I am not sure why- I was the same with the cross as I was with the Tigger pic. But I love Tigger, I have loved him since I was a very little child.
I'm into beer and homebrewing, so on another forum, I went by the name "lambicus" and my avatar was a microscope image of a Brettanomyces lambicus - the yeast in some Belgian beers.
Then, on that forum, we decided that our avatars would dress up for Hallowe'en. I decided to dress up my yeast cell as something like cryptosporidium or giardia, and some Googling led me to the Onion, where I found Crypty. I ended up liking Crypty so much that I used him as my avatar when I came here.
My avatar IS better than yours.
I'm too shy to put a pic of myself here, so I guess something witty will do the job.
I kind of miss the old 'show and tell' days from school. So occasionally I use avatars of some of my toys. Sometimes I will throw up meaningless random avatars. Usually, I stick to things like guns, the cross bow, one of my vehicles. I even used a picture of my old sump pump a few times over at myspace. ( FFS I'm a redneck for real )
Being that I'm very interested in physics and mathematics, I find a lot of the artworks revolving around them fascinating, in particular ones that are thought-provoking and/or mind-bending, so I have this one about the Relativity staircase as my avatar.

I started using this one years ago at a political forum. I usually advocated the libertarian position, and Lady Liberty seemed like a good avatar. This particular picture is a print from the turn of the last century, and had a poem printed behind the statue. A fellow poster modified it for me, and I've been using it on every forum I post on since.
Mine is a Sami shaman holding a drum and a beater. I'm very interested in the psychology and history of shamanism, particularly Scandinavian (I lived in Finland for a few years). To make the avatar, I drew it out then photographed it against the head of a frame drum I have.
I got my avatar done as a tattoo last year.
It's a metaphor.
Or something.
Cats make happies. I do not. It balances out.
We all keep grounds in our own way.How can I not love your avatar, he shares my roots and .............. I do gardening from time to time, such as pull out a stray weed, does that count??
