Why Commemorate the Death of Jesus?

Believers in Jesus can remove mountains, heal the sick, raise the dead. Jesus said they could.

No

I follow historical Jesus, not biblical Jesus.

Two different concepts, and academia holds one is semi mythological.

Non of them died if they werent born. Theological Religious Literary Construct....AKA The Bible. No history needed.

So jump in the lake with them. I wanna see Jesus believers bring Peace, raising the dead, healing the wounded warriors, to the world instead of LIP service.

Don't expect much do you?

All of which has nothing to do with the possibility of a real person that generated mythology and theology.

Good luck with that. It is considered mythology. As Israelites were never in Egypt.
Again, just answering the question of why someone would celebrate such gruesome things. How could anyone celebrate the slaying of the first born of an entire nation of people merely because GOD chose to harden pharaoh's heart to his own glory? Well, you celebrate that because you believe god is on your side and he passed over your house.

Sure it does. You are a Jesus Believer so you Can do what he said you would do. SOOOOO, when you gonna grow a leg on a legless wounded warrior?

Is not a celabration is a time of reflection and fasting, the celabration comes today has he is risen.
Really? Every christian I know just loves good friday. They are leaving work early, if they go at all, heading to the store to get beer, coloring eggs with their kids, and baking pies. I don't see any of them moping around, fasting, or reflecting.

Of course I could always believe what people say rather than what they do. lol

Jesus said it in the Bible. You should be able to quote the Bible like Jack Van Impe.

Only unknown authors said things in literature. People who were far removed from any word or action the man might have said or done.

So no Jesus did not "say" anything in the bible we can be certain of.

You keep bringing up mythology and apologetics, then somehow imagine me as an atheist who studies this history in detail follows your rude assumptions.

Forgive me, but this seems to be a statement that fails on its face. Outhouse has repeatedly said there is no way to prove this, other than with the documents and scholarly enquiry that we have and conjectures related to same. And you continually rebuke him, asking inane questions with no answer or make snarky responses that in any true debate would be a clear sign that you have failed in your arguments.

So, you cant answer them either? That's why I told you to check out Biblical History and Criticism Forum, so I can watch you engage with educated posters. I'm a nobody expecting convincing answers from somebody. Maybe you?
