Why does Hamas launch rockets from cities?

“The Israelis concentrate on killing children. I believe that this is engraved in the historical Zionist and Jewish mentality, which has become addicted to the killing of women and children,” claimed Hamdan.

“We all remember how the Jews used to slaughter Christians, in order to mix their blood in their holy matzos. This is not a figment of imagination or something taken from a film. It is a fact, acknowledged by their own books and by historical evidence. It happened everywhere, here and there,” he added.

The blood libel originated in 1144 with the fabricated story of William of Norwich, England and is continuously used by Arabs. Earlier this month, the editor of Hamas's paper Al-Risalah, Wisam Afifa, associated the death of Palestinian Arab teen Mohammed Abu-Khder with the blood libel.

Another instance of an Arab media outlet perpetuating the blood libel was uncovered by MEMRI last year.

In that incident, the founder of the Egyptian Justice and Progress Party said in a televised interview, “It is well known that during the Passover, [the Jews] make matzos called the ‘Blood of Zion’. They take a Christian child, slit his throat and slaughter him. Then they take his blood and make their [matzos]. This is a very important rite for the Jews, which they never forgo.”

Asked by the interview whether the Jews do this to this day, he replied, “Absolutely. The French kings and the Russian czars discovered this in the Jewish quarters. All the massacring of Jews that occurred in those countries were because they discovered that the Jews had kidnapped and slaughtered children, in order to make the Passover matzos.

Of course there are civilian deaths on their shoulders. Those that resulted from the rockets directed towards Israel.

So no civilian deaths are on their shoulders?

The deaths of the civilians at the business end of the rockets Hamas launches, and any caught in the crossfire of sectarian violence in Gaza, are on their shoulders. The deaths of the thousands of civilians killed by Israel are on the shoulders of Israel. Both sides are responsible for feeding the cycle of violence and hate that perpetuates the conflict.

So really, when you said this,

Attributing blame where it is due is easy once you get the knack of it.
, you didn't really mean it. Okay...

Tell me... If Hamas wasn't there firing from everywhere, do you think Israel still would have just bombarded and killed all these people? Yet you still place more than 99% of the blame on Israel. But yeah, attributing blame where it is due is easy...

I thought it was 3 or 4.
That's correct. My mind was elsewhere.

The Blame of Hamas that they did not prepare for this war very well , that's what gave Israeli army the chance to ecrase their civilians , intentionally massacres or not intentionnaly massacres .

And this right here should show people on this side what they're supporting.

I disagree. The blame of Hamas is that waging war with Israel was incredibly stupid and was always doomed to fail. Abbas and the PLO have been largely successful in recent years increasing public sympathy for the refugees in the occupied territories, awareness of human rights violations and support for a Palestinian state, through peaceful means.Hamas terror attacks have had the opposite effect. You can see how easy it is now for ordinarily reasonable people to shrug their shoulders and forgive Israel for the slaughter of thousands of innocent people in Gaza, because westerners are hysterical about terrorism directed at our allies. Reason flies out the window. It doesn't matter how legitimate the cause and how serious the grievances are. When terror attacks are used instead of peaceful protest, we tend to see ourselves as the victims even as people in faraway countries drown in the blood of their children, ripped to pieces by our overwhelmingly violent response.

Israel is responsible for the deaths in Gaza, but Hamas were unbelievably stupid to provoke them.

You miscategorize the "sides". There are only ever two: the side of peace and compassion and the side of violence and hate. Supporters of Hamas and the IDF are on the same side, and it is not the side I am on.

I did agree with this 100% .

How about seiging of Gaza for 9 years and occupation of West Bank by sellters and racist against the israeli-arabs inside Israel ?

To categorize IDF and Hamas in the same group is just...
IDF's first mission is to defend its citizens. We may not all agree with their methods of doing so, but it is a noble cause.

Hamas, on the other hand, decided to provoke and start a war they had absolutely no chance of winning, claim to have lost 1800+ civilians, and still insist they are the ones that are victorious.
