Wow, the hypocrisy. What you're telling me is that you celebrate right in your church a sin, a clear, unambiguous adultery, condemned and prohibited by Jesus--re-marriage after divorce--but you deny the sanctity of holy union to a couple--two women--who have committed no sin, violated no prohibition, simply because of your prejudice and bigotry? Wow! Are you going to march down to your Church and demand that these hypocritical, incorrect and heretical policies be changed?

just because he is my brother in law, does not mean he is an exception. i still think homosexuallity is sin. so does my wife ( his sister).

we love him like anyone else and he is a member of our church and loves the lord.

He's not the exception, you are.

Fortunately, many people who meet an openly gay person for the first time become less homophobic in my experience.

No there isn't. The only mention of lesbianism anywhere in either testament is Romans 1:26, which contains no commandment whatsoever. I deny that lesbianism is mentioned anywhere else in the Bible (other than positively, in the Book of Ruth), and challenge you to find any other reference.

Be aware that the Hebrew word "qodesh" means male temple prostitute. Hebrew was and is a very gender marked language, and there is no gender nuetral term in Hebrew for homosexuality.

So, on what basis do you substitute your judgment for God's? That is, if it's not a sin to God, who are you to say it is a sin?

there are grounds for divorce ( in the bible). if it is under those grounds, i don't see a problem with getting married again.

again let me state, i don't know who has and has not been married in my chruch ( per i am not the counselor or pastor).

if you read my answer you will see that i said yes there have been divorced people that have been married in my church. I did not know the "circumstance".

Then you charged me with fixing your church--a clear attempt to avoid responsibility, then you retreat to your "right" to persist in your unbiblical discrimination. I ask again, why is it important to you to discriminate against people who are not sinning, and who are not hurting you or anyone else?

In all honesty, I think the correct answer is that they didn't know about it; it wasn't part of their culture.
But it must be nice to be able to read people's minds like that. And here I thought sin was up to God.
