Why would an atheist would support the Christ Redeemer statue?

Do you know that statue in Brazil called Christ the Redeemer? It's a statue of a man, his name was Jesus. He walked on this earth long time ago and ate food like regular people. He preached the religion of Ibrahim.

Why would an atheist would support the Christ Redeemer statue?
Some people love all of humanity, and support all other humans in their endeavours, especially in faith. For example, in Utah State, in the US, the Mormon Church gave a substantial donation to a Hindu temple there. Myself, I have given money to local small churches where my relatives worship. Without some donations, these local churches may have to be closed. Another example is a lovely Ammadiya Muslim shopkeeper who gives discounts to all things religious regardless of faith. In many countries, governments themselves allow religious institutions, tax deductions for charitable causes.

Tolerant loving people support each other in their peaceful actions, regardless of faith. Only haters and exclusionists don't.

You don't understand. Why would an atheist who disbelief's in religion of Ibrahim would have full support for the statue of Jesus?
Because we support every person's freedom and right to worship and believe as they please in accordance to their heart and conscience as long as they do not infringe on others rights by their actions.

Okay but as an atheist leader lets say don't you think one would like to destroy the statue? Why would one want to keep it?

My father was an atheist, and he gave to the local Christian Church just to support his friends. Besides, the graveyard was attached and he wanted to be buried there.

Hate is not related to faith or lack of faith. Hate is just hate. So the atheist leader has no reason to do that, because he doesn't see it as harmful, or affecting his belief in any way. He can easily look the other way, and he chooses to do so. Besides that, he most likely knows that destroying it would only harm his cause, not help it.

If you can read this, you are as lucky as I am.

It gives you a +5 culture bonus, of course.

I would not think much of an atheist leader (if those even exist as such) who cared so much about a statue.

We very much have bigger fish to fry. I don't even see why destroying or even removing the statue would be a good thing.

How is the statue of Jesus good for the society? Please.
Regards.
It makes a good postcard, it brings in some tourism, it is a convenient reference point for orientation, and it is a fairly good trail destination to provide some recreation.

Oh, and let's not forget, it barely even registers as a religious icon. You seem to mind it a lot more than literally any atheist that I know of.

I live in another country. I do not care what statues other nations decide to build.

Do you think that statue helps people do good, or does it breads crime? Please.
