Why would the 'loving' God of mainstream Christinaity do this?

I'm sure she is. She can believe that only those who believe in Jesus in their human life can receive salvation if she wishes. It's an old fashioned human belief based upon misunderstanding.

Aparently Mr. Universe here hasn't read my posts. I was being faceitious if you didn't catch that.

It is quite obvious my my posts in this thread and by all previous posts that I don't believe that for one single second.

I thought an all knowing universe like yourself would be able to figure that out by now.:areyoucra

When Christ said "only through Me can you reach Paradise" He meant that once our human body dies our souls go to the afterlife (not heaven) and there our human personality is judged either to be full of selfishness and beyond salvation or not.

If we have a chance then we go to the first schoolhouse to learn the universal language and begin our study of advanced theory of the universe.

In this afterlife if our soul has not already fused with our human personality then the Son of God can use His spirit to fuse the two. As you learn and mature you become an ascended being who goes from one dimension to another, each time moving up. But the door to the first schoolhouse is controlled by Jesus.

You cannot evolve onward to the Father without His scrutiny.

You don't get it do you. That's not what I'm asking.

Super Universe, either stick the thread, or do not comment.

Everyone else was doing a fine job -- please stay to OP.

Do you have some dispute with calling a child an unevolved being? I think this is something that is obvious to the rest of us.

Apparently it isn't, and it is not for this thread, make your own.

Super Universe said:
No, children are not mature enough to go to heaven and neither is any other new spirit that knows nothing of the universe.

Children are much more mature and ready for heaven then any other beings. Children are pure, innocent and full of light. Please do not hijack my thread.

Super Universe said:
What benefit would a new spirit provide in returning to God so soon? New spirit's are pure God energy with no knowledge, no maturity, no life experience, and no personality.

Little children don't have personality? What ******** are you pulling? Apparently you've never worked with small children or spent extended periods of time with them.
Children have the most vibrant and outstanding perosnalities.

Again, stick to OP. This isn't about children, but about my question.

This is like sending out a word and expecting a unique poem in return but instead you get the same word back.

One word and be a unique poem to someone.

But as I said they are not discarded. They are guided by caring beings into becoming ascending beings.

It's not all about your idea Mr. Universe, try letting someone else be right for a change.

Okay, you have the floor. Please explain to us all how children can possibly get to heaven if they die before being baptized or coming to know the teachings of Jesus.

By grace.

By the goodness of God.

By the saving power of Jesus Christ.

In my faith and my belief, andy child that dies before the age of accountability (8) does not have to worry -- Christ covers them with His atonement as well.

Then why didn't you just say this in the original post instead of creating all this drama?

This is a debate....this is a discussion...this is to get dialouge going.

Even if you were brand new, all you would have to do is look at my religion, you would know I came into this with a prove it attitude.

Send millions upon billions of his children to hell?

Simple answer from my perspective, he won't.
I believe in the Reconciliation of All Things, with slight modification. For one thing, I wonder if there are people who run towards oblivion / absolute destruction with open arms, and will reject (out of pride) any notion of a deity to whom they are to bend the knee.

Becky have you read C.S. Lewis' The Great Divorce? It's a fascinating idea of heaven and hell. In it, either course is entirely voluntary, and hell is just a dreary, gray place devoid of God rather than some kind of fiery Hell. And the residents have the opportunity to visit heaven, sort of the 'outskirts' of heaven, whenever they want (via public transportation) :)

Many choose to go back, yet some are saved.

I have not had a chance to read it, but it's on my list.

My husband has and he really enjoyed and I say it's pretty darn close to my idea of 'heaven' and 'hell'.

I agree with you Becky. God won't send one single person to hell. However, most will choose to go there just the same. Delusion is amazing and Satan will make many believe that hell is heaven. In fact, he has already accomplished this. Many who THINK they are heaven bound have chosen hell (hate) already. And some who think they deserve hell have already chosen heaven (love) for their eternal home.

Denial: Not just another river in Egypt. :D

Still in essence, that is still 'sending' them to hell for not choosing God.

So really, God is still sending them to hell for not choosing His way. You may say it was their choice, but in the end, it was God who choose that path for them if they 'disobeyed' or didn't follow Him.

Why not eveyrone go to everyone? What is so wrong with that?

You know,

when my son turns 18, I can't force him to spend time with me.

God has the same problem with all of us.

Hell is merely the absense of God.

Probably because he didn't want us to be his puppets or playthings.

We still are his puppets and playthings. What do you do with a broken machine? You throw it out. All we are are God's machines, and those of us that short-circuit or rewire ourselves are thrown into hell.

I don't think so, and whoever told you that, IMO is a nutcase. That's silly.

Hell has been preached to me my entire life. In fact, tomorrow morning it will probably be preached to me some more! And so I have come to the notion that God is unjust. And as I stand now, I would rather claim my place in hell than deny myself and serve an unjust god.

Then don't serve that unjust god. I certainly don't. I don't follow the God of fire and brimstone -- cause that's not who God is.

I thought it was because as well as a loving God, he was also a just God. ;)

Q. Would a loving God really need a sacrificial lamb? Why not simply forgive the truly repentant out of love?
A. Justice.

Q. Would a loving God send people to different layers of Heaven? Why not accept all his children back to Him with open arms?
A. Justice.

Q. Why would a loving God send people to hell? Why not welcome the evil-hearted and unrepentant sinners alongside the true believers?
A. Justice.

I don't think you can question one aspect of Christian doctrine without looking at similar aspects within your own faith.
If you can understand how a loving God needs someone to be sacrificed to rid us of sin, you can understand why a loving God would send the unrepentant to hell.

Based on how much I know bout u ZH, punishment from G-d is the last thing you should be worrying bout. The real G-d loves the just and kind :)
