"Woman arrested after admitting having sex with family dog since 13"

I feel sorry for the woman, if only because she was betrayed by her boyfriend.

I don't I feel the boyfriend probably helped her. In my opinion she obviously has some problem.

Not all 13 year olds have sex and far fewer have it with dogs
Not to many woman want to even talk about there previous sex life with there current boyfriend, hers was non-standard and she wanted to show pictures.

Hopefully the courts will get her needed therapy.

I can't see the relevance. The dog was certainly a willing partner, or he wouldn't have been able to rise to the occasion.
Involuntary physiological responses don't indicate consent. You can get the same responses from adult humans but that doesn't mean they're obliged to act on them.

Okay, I did, now what? Are you seriously suggesting that we regard the two as equals?
Not at all. You know it is possible to compare two things without stating that they're exactly the same in every manner? The fact is that a five year old child might not actively resist sexual abuse, especially if the abuser is known to them. Do you think that means it shouldn't be a crime?

Yup. So what is your aim in having me "switch out the dog for a five-year-old child and ask the same question"?

Of course it should be a crime, but what relevance does that have to engaging in bestiality with a dog?

I don't...

I think it'd be hilarious if you'd sit down with your wife and all your close friends and family, then tell them you'd feel perfectly justified betraying their trust and confidences to the police if you felt it was in their own best interests. Hell, I'd pay good money to witness the "discussion".

I would do it every time. I have told my son's directly if they break the law I would turn them in but be there for them as well.

When I was a kid around 10 I stole a small toy from a store. My mother marched me right back into the store and told the owner she would wait for the cops if he'd like.

You should do as I suggest -- gather your wife, family, and best friends to tell them you'd be perfectly happy betraying them to the police for a good enough reason in your eyes -- then videotape it for all of us to enjoy. I'll chip in ten dollars to see that.

I find your words insulting. My family prides itself on honesty. We expect a lot from each other and give a lot to each other. My wife actually turn her brother into the police. She also arranged for him to be sent home to their country without a 10 year jail sentence. She used our money for the lawyers and had to pay for his airline tickets. They still talk today.

No, zoosexuality should not be a crime. Zoosexuals do not hurt animals and, on the contrary, treat them quite well and bond with them. The only way they'd hurt an animal is by mistake borne out of ignorance. Zoosadism is when the person gets off on hurting an animal and that's a trait of psychopathy. Two completely different things. Only if the animal is actually being harmed should this be a matter of the law. Obviously a male dog is not going to mind humping a human female (or male). Hell, my dog humps my knees and my pillows and I certainly am not doing anything at all to get him to do it. :D

As an aside, she does not require treatment if she's able to function. A person only needs psychiatric help when there's an impairment of functioning. It seems that she was quite fine with herself until her backstabbing boyfriend found out. Oh, and her age when she started doing it doesn't matter. 13 year olds are going through puberty so it's not like they're asexual.

Just because people don't understand it doesn't make it "icky" or "gross". The only thing that's gross here are the stupid comments are her looks. Grow the hell up.

One more thing:

I find it curious that it's illegal and a moral outrage to many to have sex with a non-human animal but it's perfectly fine to masturbate an animal to collect its semen as an animal breeder. So apparently it's only wrong if you enjoy it (and obviously so)! Humans never cease to amaze me with their moral hypocrisy.

Nobody is recognizing that dogs age quicker than humans.
The dog is a fully grown adult.

dogs aare not independent beings. they have no concept of choice or reason, they do what their provider commands

Dogs don't ask people if they can hump legs - they just do it. Do you think dogs have a sense of consent or not?

If a dog doesn't want to have sex, they'll attack you. Same with a horse. Non-human animals are much more straight-forward then humans are. There's not much vagueness to their reactions. :D It's really just a matter of knowing basic animal behavior.

Empathy. People tend to have different emotional reactions to the same thing being done to an animal or a child but in this specific context I believe the moral principle is the same. By considering the same event involving a child rather than a dog, I'm hoping you will view the whole thing from a different angle and thus reconsider my viewpoint.

Of course it should be a crime, but what relevance does that have to engaging in bestiality with a dog?
A dog might physically respond to sexual contact but can't consciously consent to it. A young child might physically respond to sexual contact but can't consciously consent to it.

What the hell does consent matter when it comes to sex with animals? They don't have a concept of consent. When a male animal tries to mount a female who's not in the mood, she attacks him and throws him off of her. That's how they get the message across that they don't want to be bothered. But if he's sufficiently bigger than her, he'll just rape her. Besides, it's a bit stupid that we worry about things like consent when you want to bang your dog but don't have an issue eating animals, with rodeos, bullfights, hunting, factory farming, animal testing, etc. It's quite ridiculous. Since when we do ask for their consent to do those things? I think non-forced sex would be the least of an animal's worries when it comes to dealing with humans. People need to stop projecting our sexual worries onto animals. Things are much more simple when it comes to sexuality outside of the realm of humans.

Also, a prepubescent child is not a good comparison to an adult animal. Animals give very noticeable mating signals when they're willing to have sex. It's different if you're comparing the child to a baby animal.

You actually keyed in on the problem

If human has sex with a dog and the dog likes it, the dog does not have a concept and may seek other humans to have sex with and on refute may get angry and attack the human.

If its a child it could be really bad.

This is the same for all animals they may mistake another human for the one that has sex with them and may hurt that other human because of it.

So you need then to confine them from other humans and this is the penalty they must endure and why it is a crime.

No, I don't think that's why dogs attack humans. If that were the case, wouldn't the dog be attacking any human that won't give it food, or play with it (with a ball, you sick people!! :p j/k), or take it for walkies?
