France is a very strong contender this year. I have been a traditional supporter of France since the time of Platini etc.. As the team that I support always gets defeated, I am not supporting France.

They've played two good games against non-powerhouses. Let's see how they do once they face a challenging country.

I only caught the last 20 mins and it had fizzled out a bit. I just watched a replay of Cahill's goal. Ooof!

So, going by what we've seen, are Brazil really favourites?

Not based on what I've seen. They've got the quality though

Italy loses 1-0 to Costa Rica. Seems this is the year of upsets.

Germany versus Netherlands final?

I wasn't sure whether to celebrate or not after after that result :D

I reckon Chile Vs Costa Rica because why not.

I think France might win it.
Really enjoyed the Iran Argentina game. Would love it if Iran had won. They got sooooooo close.

They look decent but I reckon they'll come unstuck against Germany

My thoughts exactly

The Netherlands look like solid contenders for the title. It will be interesting to see how far they get in the later stages.

I think they can get really far.
It is easy to deal with half of Netherlands scoring chances though:

Do you see Robben rushing to the goal in a counterattack? It is the perfect time for a foul. :p

Yeah I've been impressed with the Netherlands. I don't think they'll win it but they could easily make the semi-finals

Ya. )(.

Today there is no game that interests me. Especially after the bitingly interesting Suarez.:p I enjoyed Spain vs. Australia match too, though it mattered to none.

Congrats to Algeria for upsetting the odds. Been impressed with them so far.

First half of USA v Germany was pretty drab. Hope the second half is better.

It was always likely to be with both sides only needing a point. It's why I watched the Ghana game instead
