Bad news: Neymar is out for the rest of the tournament due to a particularly painful back injury:
BBC Sport - Neymar: Brazil forward out of 2014 Fifa World Cup with back injury
It will be interesting to see how Brazil perform against Germany without the top Brazilian player.
To be really honest with you, Costa Risca should be a breeze. And Argentina not too difficult. It would really really surprise me if the Netherlands didn't make it to the finals.
And what did I say? Terrible game. Yeah, they had majority possession - in their own half, which is of no use at all. I see Robben, just like 4 years ago, is still trying to score all the goals himself. You'd have thought he'd have learnt by now. Netherlands had so many chances to score that they simply didn't capitalise on when they should have. And now? Down to penalties...
I reckon we've got a Germany vs Argentina final incoming
Anything can happen on Germany vs. Brazil. And I still think Netherlands is better off than Argentina. Although a Brazil vs. Argentina final would be really nice.
To those unaware: Argentina is Brazil's rival by tradition. More than any other team.
This is the bad part about soccer. If both teams want to play defensively, the game tends to be draw. Netherlands plays defensively trying to score goals during counterattacks. While Costa Rica just played extremely defensively to don't let those counterattacks happen.
That's not the kind of soccer we like to watch.
And far to many offsides for any one game. Again and again a well placed ball was defeated by the touch-judge's raised flag...
Not the line-judge's fault. The runners needed to time their run better.
I wasn't blaming the touch judge. The balls were very well placed, but very poorly timed along with those meant to be receiving said balls. Very very frustrating to see them fail at something that is not so difficult to get that wrong so many times.
I'd say the ref crew they had today was very good indeed

Brazil are going to be missing Neymar and Thiago Silva. Plus the Germans are looking a lot better than they were early in the tournament so I think it will be tough for Brazil to win that one.
I reckon Argentina are the better team, going forward at least. It will all depend on if the Netherlands can hit them on the break.
