World Cup 2014

This Brazil team look like they'll crack. The expectations exceed the talent.

The pressure is quite high. They are always expected to win.
They are always expected to keep up where the previous winners left off.

But this will be a really hard cup. The gap in skill between the teams is much smaller than it used to be ( or at least that I can remember ).

Unfair? Not really as far I know.

The ending was quite amazing and dramatic, to be honest.

Mexico took the lead during the start of the second half of the match.
During the last 10 minutes or so, Netherlands managed to score 2 goals.
One of them was a penalty. I couldn't believe that was really happening.
An incredible comeback.

I've had that feeling twice already during this tournament. Once watching the champions being demolished, and at the end of the Greece v Ivory Coast game.

It would really impress me if either Greece or Costa Rica manage to win against Netherlands.

I expect that either could give them a good game, but the Dutch will prove too crafty. They have considerable talent in the squad as well as some mastery of the darker arts...

Robben so needs a real kick. That dramatic diving of his is just too annoying.

An unsurprising win for France, although I think Nigeria played really well today.

Brazil vs. Chile is still the match of the tournament for me so far. No other game has even come close to the level of suspense in that one, especially when Neymar ran up to take his decisive penalty. :D

Can't brain. Has dumb.
I haven't been able to watch the games, but I've been following the results very closely. Both my parents are from The Netherlands, so naturally, I support them. I feel like this year they have a real chance at winning. They seem to be performing well, and from the few highlights I've seen they seem to be working as a team. The Dutch though, have been notorious for choking in the later stages after performing so well in the groups. Lets hope they can change that this year. It won't be easy, Costa Rica is next, and if they win, I expect they'll have to beat Argentina after that just to get to the final.

This year, I'm also backing the French. If they do the unthinkable and beat Brazil in their own territory, I sincerely hope they get second place. Not only does their presence in the final potentially make the Netherlands' final hurdle easier - they'll be tired after beating an energetic Brazil, perhaps even risking a red card - but I've also made a short-term high-risk investment in the sweepstakes at work. 32 people put $5 in the pot and get a team drawn from a hat. The person who drew the winning team receives $80, the one who drew the second-placed team receives $50, and the one who's team lets in the most goals receives $30.

Go France!!

To be really honest with you, Costa Risca should be a breeze. And Argentina not too difficult. It would really really surprise me if the Netherlands didn't make it to the finals.

So close there at the end, if we could have played like that the whole game...
