Take just for example your deception about earthquakes.

No you KNOW that we have no earthquake data for previous centuries - I know that you have been told that. And yet you keep repeating that an increase in earthquakes is a sign of the end times.

You can not know that earthquakes are increasing, you do not have that data, that data does not exist and you know that it does not exist.

So why are you making what you KNOW to be false claims?

Are you trying to scare people by lying? What do you think this acheives?

I really wish these claims scared people. Unfortunately they don't and they never did.
People are not scared at all. And they keep doing evil.

"Sky is falling" rhetoric only scares the weak and timid who are probably not doing much evil to begin with. It gathers up those prone to whining and moping rather than people of action who will do something meaningful about perceived wrongs.

What good is suicidal ideology for promoting growth and positive change?

I have no desire to scare anyone and lying is not an acceptable behavior from my position as believer and servant of Jesus Christ. I simply see the importance of being aware of the conditions taking place on earth as they relate to biblical prophecy.

"Why is the planet Earth experiencing more major earthquakes? Some argue that within the last 20 years, we have had an increase in the number of earthquake reporting due to the tremendous increase in the number of seismograph stations worldwide and the global communications Improvements in various earthquake detection technologies, according to America Daily Herald.
However, these arguments ignore the fact that ancient people around the world have always been writing about earthquakes and natural disasters since 3,000 BCE, which was a few centuries following the invention of writing by the Sumerians living in Mesopotamia (3,500 BCE). They may not have employed the scientific geophysical language of seismology, but careful analysis of their explanations of events shows that they were describing earthquakes. Therefore, the evidence for an increase in earthquakes worldwide is very strong."

The droughts in Australia are devastating. We have had droughts for a long time but they are getting worse I reckon. They call our land the land of droughts and flooding plains. We are getting major floods now that are flooding cities. Just like the rest of the world ie the major cyclone hits Andhra Pradeshlast week. We are seeing more extreme weather patterns around the world partly caused by human pollution.

The drought in CA is also devastating and impacting the lives of so many, as it will increasingly impact even more, unless there is abundant rainfall soon, since so much food for the entire country is grown in California.

Actually, I believe being aware helps people to take appropriate action to solve problems. Even more importantly, I think this awareness of the immensity if the conditions we have brought upon ourselves may help some realize we are not capable of being in control without the wisdom of the Creator.

What brings the greater chance of best efforts - believing you are doomed/witnessing end-times and things will get worse and worse regardless of effort vs. believing that you can actually make things better and people, the world, life, etc. have hope?

People are bad, the world has fallen, life is endless cycles of sin, etc. are all psychologically damning and crippling...preventing best efforts and ability to make the most of things, of life, of this world.

With the information being what it is these days people ought to think positively that we are heading to an awakening rather than a fall. If we think that we will just use all the knowledge for evil thats just trust issues. I am confident I can trust most people oppose mass murder.

I think what brings the most hope is to stop pretending and admit our failure at running our lives and things in this world without the Creator's wisdom and guidance. To me without such honesty there is not much hope for humans to makes wise choices.

Humans are struggling to survive and doctors have been making our lives longer despite what nature throws at us. We aren't the ones creating aids and Ebola but we do our darnedest to fight it. Yeah we could be making better choices but it isn't like theists really have that going for them with so much hypocrisy out there to boot.

I realize doctors and many others desire to make things better and I appreciate those efforts immensely. I'm just saying that I believe humanity would be better off if we looked to the Creator for direction. I can agree with you completely that theists who live in hypocrisy are a huge part of the problem as much or even more so than those who ignore the Creator God.

About half of the human race worships the Abrahamic god. Exactly what good has that gotten us? I'm not sure what simply listening to "the creator's wisdom and guidance" is supposed to do for us or even what that is supposed to mean.

Most people do not truly worship God or choose to live in obedience to God, they merely practice some religious rituals or routines to make themselves feel as if they are appeasing God, while they continue to live their life their own way, so it is no wonder that things are the way they are.
From my perspective seeking God's wisdom and guidance means acknowledging that I am not God. God is God my Creator and therefore it only makes sense that I should trust Him completely with my life more than trusting my own limited and often deceitful ability.

How exactly is that supposed to help solve the issues of violence, war, political oppression, destruction of the environment, etc.? If you want change, you have to fight for it. I'm not seeing how just relying on a god will fix anything.

Okay, for example: if my life is submitted to Jesus Christ and I am committed to living for Him instead of myself then when a situation comes up where I faced with a choice either to get my way or benefit my own interests by rationalization, cheating, force, oppression, manipulation, violence, etc. or put the well-being and interests of others first as Jesus and God's Word instructs then I desire to love and serve God by serving others before myself. This concept can work on a community, political, and corporate level and I believe this attitude of submitting to God would make much more of an impact on individual lives, world events and the environment than fighting for change.

Calmly watching, praying for the world to end. How angsty.

It is called Christianity. I like the word you used to decribe it. I found this:

1. angsty
What a lot of teenagers tend to be at times. Generally it involves the feeling of not being understood by anyone and that the person is alone in the world. When in reality about a million other people are feeling the same thing...Can we get a bit of group help people?
A variety of Simple Plan songs express it quite nicely.

"Do you ever feel like breaking down?
Do you ever feel out of place?
Like somehow you just don't belong
And no one understands you
Do you ever wanna run away?
Do you lock yourself in your room?
With the radio on turned up so loud
That no one hears you screaming

No you don't know what it's like
When nothing feels all right
You don't know what it's like
To be like me"
*continue with angst here*

Urban Dictionary: angsty
