I actually want to see this, I haven't been able to find a copy ! I am a bit of a Khan nut, and want to watch it for the lulz

Hahaha...

It is on netflix... I'm gonna have to think about it... I am a big Genghis fan, not sure if this movie will be enjoyable for the comedy of John Wayne as Temujin, or offensive...

Though it is kind of sad... they shot the movie downwind of a nuclear test site, and 46 cast members later got cancer...

Kathryn

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
I just watched "The Legend of Boggy Creek" and nearly fell off the sofa laughing - though of course it wasn't meant to be funny.

Actually, the interesting thing is that my uncle produced this movie, along with other stellar productions such as "His Wife's Habit," "The Bootleggers," and "Down By Law."

Some of these were actually filmed in his garage.

"The Legend of Boggy Creek" and "Down By Law" have a pretty strong cult following!

Now your ready for Boggy Creek 2: The Legend Continues. I would recommend the Mystery Science Theater 3000 version so that if there is any laughing, it's sincere.

Bad, but hilarious in their own special way

I still love The Legend of Boggy Creek no matter how much anyone laughs at me.
Down By Law? The Jim Jarmusch film? I love that film!

Name the worst movies you have ever suffered through.

Do you mean the worst movie that was actually supposed to be good? I mean, there are lot of movies that are bad mostly because of their budgets, but they're not meant to be good anyway.

The worst A movie I've ever seen was Battlefield Earth, although I just finished watching National Treasure 2 and that was pretty horrible, too.

I know this thread is about movies, bur this actor is SOOOOO bad, he ruins movies that might have been OK.

Bill Paxton... He sucks!

I can't watch anything with him in it.

Worst movie ever though for me, was Happy Feet.

Awwww, I love Bill Paxton movies. Near dark, Aliens, Frailty all great movies. He was in some bad ones though I will give you that, but he was also in some really good movies too.

Idiocracy, pretentious garbage, badly made, badly filmed, badly scripted, no heart and no brain, it is like a film made by a comittee of socially aware, joyless hacks who think they 'get it' and no one else does, but it truth there isn't much to get. A one note script with no finesse, and it isn't even funny.

I kind of hate this movie.

Are you kidding? That movie is a gem! Maybe you have to be an American to appreciate how close to real life it is. Hell, I didn't even realize it was supposed to be a comedy until 2/3s of the way through.

Well, I didn't hate it, but I was sorely disappointed with it. I'd say all in all it was below average. It had its moments, but overall, it just didn't work.

I like Bill Paxton - he does an excellent job in the television series "Big Love".

Done here.
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
It was very disappointing, but I think almost any attempt to make a movie of that book would have been disappointing. I like it more for the effort than the result.

A Night at the Roxbury - Too stupid to sit through.
John loves that movie, though more for the music than anything. He has agreed that in future he'll only watch it when I'm not at home.

Burn After Reading

The preview made it look like it was going to be funny, but the only funny parts of it were in the preview... so there was about 30 seconds of the movie worth watching. If you are interested in that movie, I'd suggest to just watch the trailer for it. The rest of it is just stupid crap.
I'm sorry to hear that. I've got it, but I haven't watched it yet.

Dogma sucked too. Seriously, Alanis morrisette was god? Really?
No, not seriously. I love Kevin Smith movies. :fight:

I don't like John Wayne to start with, and that has got to be the worst movie he ever made.

Otherwise ...

I found the first part of Bambi so mind-numbing that I couldn't watch the whole movie. (I didn't see it as a child, so I don't have any positive childhood associations to shore it up for me, either.)

Movies about Jesus are horrendous more often than not. The worst I've ever seen was The Passion of the Christ, with The Greatest Story Ever Told coming in a distant second.

I tried to watch Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon twice, but I fell asleep both times -- and I wasn't even drinking.

Does anybody besides me remember Pauly Shore? I've tried to forget ...
