Bring back Gregorian Chanting!!!!!
About 45 years ago, myself and some friends were walking past a cathedral in San Francisco, and heard some resonating chanting inside. We stepped inside the empty place, and just listened to it echoing from somewhere in the upper back space. We stayed for 15 minutes or so.

Do you have any complaints about Christianity?

What are some of the things about Christianity that you personally do not approve of; or accept in the contents of the bible?

Am a person who has limited interaction with others aside from the internet; curious to anyone and everyone and their thoughts on these things here at ReligiousForums.com.
I don't agree with the idea of reading the Bible as literal.

I am also concerned that many in Christianity seem to be growing away from the actual practice of Christianity. There seems to be an effort to tribalize certain forms of it mix them with a political agenda while creating an us against them society rather than bringing people together.

I think Evangelicalism is a particular scourge.

That's the group I associate with too for good or ill. I am not sure what is up with those guys. They have picked a bad horse to back in US politics from a Christian standpoint in my view. They seem more interested in getting everyone to follow their rules rather than be Christian about it.

What are some of the adherents ; I wouldn’t be able to understand fully with out asking, thank you for your time!
An adherent is any person claiming to be a Christian. I know lots of Christians claim they're the only true Christians, but as a non-Christian, I just accept anyone who says they're Christian.

Hi,

I believe that Christianity can be accused of the following:

Not following Christ example.
Not believing in God's word.
Participating in wars.
Permitting the murder of the unborn.
Allowing moral behavior that the bible condemns.
Hiding God's personal name.
Mixing religion and politics.
Idolatry and Image worship.

If these claims can be substantiated I believe that 2 Tim3:5 applies to Christianity. "having a form of Godly devotion, but proving false to its power"..."and from these turn away".

Cheers.

My only complain about any religion is when (and of course, if) that religion takes aim at me, and tries to have the tenets of that religion's beliefs have anything whatever to do with me -- or anybody else who has not asked for it.

Thus, the biggest objection to any religion at all is proselytization or the missionary impulse. Second biggest is the attempt to incorporate any facet of that religion into law -- unless that law can be shown to have merit without the necessity of any religion, and do no harm to any other religion.

IF Christians arrogantly belittle other's (non)Faith

Many do this. And they really believe that Jesus is okay with evangelizing done in this way; strange

I see it as a personality cult personally.
In my opinion.

I still support the idea of missions, but the fact that historically, missionaries were like the first line of assault on another culture to soften them up for later control does leave me concerned with the practice and how it should be carried out.
