Not sure whether to rate the painting based on the quality of painting itself, which is very good, or the ideas within, which are terrible.

From a Christian perspective, I don't think Jesus would be endorsing the American constitution anyway, seeing as it is in essence a nation born from the sin of rebelling against the original civil authorities (Romans 13:1-2), the British. ;)

For religious paintings, I've long admired Bosch.
(Ordinarily, such a work might require a caution & a spoiler, but we are talk'n 16th century fine art here.)

The painting has all the soul of this work by a famous artist.
Guess who.

I just find it weird. Maybe I'm a bit stupid, but what exactly is that painting about?

It's the mutated and deformed offsprings which resulted from orgiastic copulation between neo-conservatives, evangelical christians, Fox News talking heads, Tea Party whack jobs, and artistic bankruptcy.

I find the inclusion of all those soldiers annoying.
What group could be more detestable, in Christ's eyes, than the military?

What I find amusing are Liberal News Woman, Mr. Hollywood, and the Lawyer counting money.

BTW, the book the professor is holding is The Origin of Species by Darwin. And the book the college student is holding is The Five Thousand Year Leap. A book asserting the United States prospered because it was established on Common Law and traditional Judeo-Christian morality.

Besides which, there are no cats.
