To everyone on this forum:
YES, I am 16 years old. YES, I am a teenager. I think we've established this fact already. "...You're 16 years old..." - yes, I know...

I get the generalizations. I get that most people my age don't care about anything other than MySpace, partying, drinking, and sex. Though it sickens me to somehow be related to them, I can't do anything about what they want to do with their life.

I, am not like most people my age. (I don't care if you don't believe me.) I will never drink, smoke, or do drugs. I do not gossip and I do not hang around anyone that causes drama. I get good grades, I care about my future, and I have a curiosity and a desire to learn. I'm not perfect; I have maturing to do, and I am aware of this.

I think that I am good person. I don't care if people don't agree with that. I am confident in who I am. I am here because I feel strongly about this issue. I am here to debate it and give my opinion. I am not here to start drama or fight with anyone. No, I don't think it's fun. I stand up for myself; I'm not wrong for that, but I don't feel I should have to. This thread has gotten to the point where it's not even about abortion anymore. If you feel you must judge me for my age, and you can't get that out of your mind without getting to know me and my views first, then so be it. But please don't expect me to answer back to you any longer. This thread is about abortion, and that is what is going to be about from now on - atleast on my part. Judge me as you wish. Also, I am sorry if I offended anyone. I let myself become offended at a couple of occasions and I treated the person in the same manner. Okay well I'm just blabbering now so that's all..

If doctors actually delivered a live baby, then just left it on a shelf to die, as claimed in thi "live-birth abortion" propaganda, they would be subject to prosecution for murder.
Right. But I see the world heading toward this kind of stuff being legal..

Why is adoption not a solution? Instead of sucking their brains out at 20 weeks, why don't they just let them deliver them whole instead? See if they can live?
Because it is further stretching resources that are already over stretched.

Let me ask you a question. when med advances to the point that they don't need a womb anymore - someone does not want their body used for another life - fine, it's not a matter of "woman's right to her body" anymore - does she still have the right to kill her child after they can survive without her?
1. non sequitur. if a person "orders" (for lack of a better term) a child to be born from an artificial womb, they are making the conscience choice to have said child.

2. Again, killing a child is illegal in all 50 states. Abortion is not. Your attempt at appeal to emotion makes you look ignorant of the definitions of the words you use.

3. Your premise is that the fetus is not dependent upon her from the get go...

I guess some people respect life, and others don't.
Is this an ad hominem or an attempt at poisoning the well?

Depends Upon My Mood..
Using it exactly how the box states. Taking it at the same exact time each night, never missing a pill, etc.

Using it exactly as the box states (are you talking about the pill?) can be killing your "child" every single month.

And dont say you dont know about it therefore its not deliberate. You know about it now..So if you continue to take hormonal BC (just like the box says)you know you in fact are possibly killing(murdering) a "baby human" every single month that you engage in sex.

Why is it permissible to treat women as if they are incompetent to decide for themselves what to do in this matter?
It's not about that, though - atleast in my opinion. I feel that the wombchild (which is what I'm going to call it from now on to avoid further incorrect vocabulary) has legal human rights and so it is no one's right to decide whether it gets to live or not. Neither mine, yours, or the woman's.

So we're supposed to assume that they do?
For one, you're assuming that's what I mean. And no, that's not what I mean. We're supposed to assume that anything can happen to the child, it's just whether or not the MOTHER is willing to take that chance. Nobody can make that call for her.

It doesn't have legal rights, and no amount of feeling from you can change that fact. The law does not grant them any rights, responsibilities, or priviledges.

I would say it might have to do with the mentality of the way people think about women since the dawn of Man. Man know it all women don't and we have to decide for them..... Yeah I know it's not right.
You think if men carried babies this would be different...? How so?

What do you mean?
I can about babies but I'm not going to tell any other human being what to do for themself, it's not my place, and it's not yours. I might not like it, but in the end people are going to do what they do. I ca try and help them and all but :run:

Women are competent in this matter..and to be quite frank men are too.(men have something to do with it).

It is some men and some women that think that they can tell other men and women that "they would never do that" therefore its wrong.

If I concieve tonight..its NONE of anyone elses business but MINE and my HUSBANDS.NONE!

The only time its your business is if we HAVE a child out of that pregnancy and abuse or mistreat that child. Then for the childs sake I welcome your intervention.

But you have to understand that this is how we look at it. We look at it the same way you would if you knew a family that had a child that was being abused.

If you are using as much protection as possible (perfect birth control use + condom + pulling out) it is extremely unlikely that you are pregnant anyways.
