To answer the OP,
This is stated in Revelation 20, specifically verses 11-15. Shoel/Hades are places of the dead, the grave, somewhere where those who are presently dead reside. At the moment of judgment they are pulled from there, judged, and dealt with accordingly. You'll note those places...
Maybe because it's... true, right, on to something. You decide. Of those thousands and thousands of religions, which are the most prominent? How come?
Oooh black helicopters. People in power used it for power that they already had to manipulate people they already manipulated to get more...
I can't imagine a Jew believing in stuff written in the eschatology of Christianity and Islam....
It's kind of a moot point, it seems.
Ah well, one day they will.
It's not a red herring, it's demonstrating the hardness of your heart by asking you to consider a similar situation you cannot change.
You aren't bent out of shape about being a biped, are you? A woman? Why do you accept those things that you cannot change and aren't on a forum making a case...
I didn't say language was the same as religion, I said guess what -- things pertaining to humans in certain geographic locations pertain to them moreso than people in other locations. Basic cultural geography, right?
Yes indeed. Why is it so widespread when by all rights it probably shouldn't...
Why is it bull? What if it's just the way it is? It's kind of bullcrap Earth is the only habitable planet in the solar system... but I mean, you gonna cry foul about that, too?
You're so smart, I didn't see that logic coming at all!
Imagination.... or it's written on your heart by the One who made you. Hrrmmm. Guess we all gotta decide.
It means a follower of islam. Islam didn't exist in Abraham's time. Honestly, I see what you're trying to do here because the arabic root means submission/surrender to the one true God. But coming along 1500 years later and saying he was a muslim does not make him a muslim.
Would be like...
Chicken or the egg? Man can't explain something, he looks up and wonders why it is the way it is. Animals don't do it, but we do. It's not a point worth arguing, granted, because neither side can be right for lack of empirical evidence. But to say something that existed before teaching...
People make stuff up all the time. Stick with the Bible, it's just easier. I assume you're talking about John 14 there in your last reference. Jesus says,
19 “A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also. 20 At that day you...
Statistically speaking, you shouldn't exist. But here you are, breathing all over your keyboard.
So, this is meaningless. Guess what? The same is true of language. It doesn't mean you can't speak Japanese outside of Japan, it's just more rooted where it came from. The fact Christianity is...
So you created a thread about Psalm 22, and I should know that you're, what? Joking in your last post when you "lol" at my Savior dying on the cross as some silly plot twist to a day time drama program?
How dare I not know you started a thread about that since joining the forum today...
You aren't alone in your questioning nor frustration with Islam. If you're up for a quick go around in the origins of Islam, you should start asking questions about how it sprung up, what it replaced, and the legitimacy of its founder.
In doing this, I discovered it was founded by either a...
What are you talking about? He was quoting scripture. Read Psalm 22. His quote was verse 1. Verses 11-18 are of important note.
Or go on believing in plot twists and what not, whatever suits you.
You have the option to be saved from death. A person can be saved from dying in their sin by believing in Jesus Christ and the gift of salvation through His sacrifice.
You can position yourself however you'd like; men have done it since forever I suppose. You don't elevate yourself. You...
To answer the OP, Jesus was God in human form, His death on the cross was temporary -- thus He conquered it. He wouldn't have come back to life 3 days later, hung around for a month and a half, and then ascended to heaven, clearly alive, if He was actually dead.
