The origin of the first self-replicating organisms is outside the scope of the theory of evolution, evolution only explains what happened after that. You want to look into abiogenesis, it gives a plausible explanation which should address most of your questions.
So you believe the universe, the earth and we came into existance pretty much how science explains it, but you just put god at the beginning of it?
Nobody really has a clue what happened before the big bang and I certainly don't claim to know, so there is a void there open for speculation. A...
Your logic is very odd.
You do believe in your god with absolute certainty, right?
Faith is believe in something that cannot be proven. You accept that.
You can't prove the existence of your god, right? (remember we're talking about the present).
Therefor your believe in god is based on faith...
If you apply Moore's law to organisms, that seems to be the case. However, I don't think there's any evidence that evolution acts according to Moore's law. It's a thought exercise.
Thanks for the clarification.
Union: I'm a godless heathen, but your analogy makes sense. :)
I was just wondering whether you view other religions as being wrong for following different prophets.
But looks like you see it more like different roads leading to the same destination, or something...
I'm not a muslim, but I'm curious how you view Muhammad.
Is it believed that Muhammad is an incarnation of God or equal to God or is he rather a human messenger for God?
Is rejecting Muhammad as a prophet considered equal to rejecting God?
I don't see how being made up of a different information system would prevent us from metabolizing chemicals from other lifeforms. I'm not even saying a different system, just a completely different DNA sequence, unrelated to any other species.
I don't know, attempting to swim might be considered a reflex, but a baby somehow knows to hold its breath in the water.
I don't think they try inhaling first before learning that they shouldn't.
A code monkey is a kind of a mindless drone of a programmer, the one who takes up all the trivial slack the skilled programmers don't wanna deal with.
If there is a god, I would expect him to be more like an autistic savant programmer capable of devising an algorithm to generate life and the...
Let me give you an example. Imagine we are debating whether the fossil records supports the theory of evolution.
You claim that there are no transitional fossils.
To supposidely prove you wrong, I point you to this ginormous list of transitional fossils...
