"THE LORD'S DAY IS THE SABBATH DAY NOT SUNDAY ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURES

Please concentrate. You accused me of repeating false personal attacks with no evidence. I asked you to identify, in the post in question, the "false personal attacks with no evidence". Your response? "I don’t believe you". You have not answered my question. It's up above in bold red. Why...

"THE LORD'S DAY IS THE SABBATH DAY NOT SUNDAY ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURES

Can I answer your question? No, she/he is not playing silly fanfiction games. Finish this sentence: “How things appear to me is not …………………….. Your last sentence is, therefore, a strawman.

"THE LORD'S DAY IS THE SABBATH DAY NOT SUNDAY ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURES

Here is what I said: "Do you mean my claim that Soapy is your acolyte? If so, I am hoping that you will discern the truth of my claim for yourself. My advice is to get some sleep; it will clear your head. :)" Please answer my question rather than running away.

False personal attacks? In my post above? Where?

Do you mean my claim that Soapy is your acolyte? If so, I am hoping that you will discern the truth of my claim for yourself. My advice is to get some sleep; it will clear your head. :)

"THE LORD'S DAY IS THE SABBATH DAY NOT SUNDAY ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURES

Soapy 'follows' you in a certain way. I suggest it may help you to look back to his post just before my description of him as 'acolyte'. And no, I am not 3rdAnglels' acolyte. We simply agree on your childish method of what you describe as 'debate'.

"THE LORD'S DAY IS THE SABBATH DAY NOT SUNDAY ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURES

I made my point. It whooshed right over your head. It is hardly my fault that you are slow on the uptake.

"THE LORD'S DAY IS THE SABBATH DAY NOT SUNDAY ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURES

No confusion on my part. The post to which you were responding is to do with projection, not 'running away'. SZ said: “Sorry, you do not understand what projecting is. Try again”. Third Angel replied: Well that is not true. Others can also see it even if you cannot (see post # 1006 linked)

"THE LORD'S DAY IS THE SABBATH DAY NOT SUNDAY ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURES

You missed the point. I must remind you again that how things seem to you often bear no resemblance to how things are.

"THE LORD'S DAY IS THE SABBATH DAY NOT SUNDAY ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURES

Ha! But as I say, how things appear to you often bear no resemblance to how things are. Just because you don't get the point doesn't mean it is not there to be 'got'.

"THE LORD'S DAY IS THE SABBATH DAY NOT SUNDAY ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURES

You seem to be confused, SZ. The post to which you are responding is to do with projection, not 'running away'. Have you heard of the tu quoque logical fallacy? :grinning:

"THE LORD'S DAY IS THE SABBATH DAY NOT SUNDAY ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURES

What things 'seem' like to you often bear no resemblance to how things are. Sorry, but you still miss my point completely.

Legitimate reasons not to believe in God

You assume that a myth is without truth. I, a believer, have no need to defend God. That would be ridiculous. Adam thought he knew better than God. He was free to choose his way, rather than God’s. Maybe because a world full of robots would be hellish. (The devil probably does have freewill).

"THE LORD'S DAY IS THE SABBATH DAY NOT SUNDAY ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURES

Sorry, you still do not understand. Why not? Because you are not paying attention. Here's a clue: an acolyte does not necessarily agree with the beliefs of her/his 'leader'.

Legitimate reasons not to believe in God

    Only if they are literalists.

Legitimate reasons not to believe in God

I don't. My friends and fellow Christians in my local church don't. But we don't live in American, of course. Perhaps you meant to say 'some/many Christians'... ? From my experience on this and other forums, it's non-Christians who do the cherry-picking, choose what suits whichever argument...

"THE LORD'S DAY IS THE SABBATH DAY NOT SUNDAY ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURES

You don't understand, because you are not paying attention.

"THE LORD'S DAY IS THE SABBATH DAY NOT SUNDAY ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURES

#1003 describes your modus operandus, SZ. It appears that it is you who does not understand what 'projecting' is.

Legitimate reasons not to believe in God

So you do have evidence that the majority of Christians cherry-pick. From where did this evidence come?
