    Since atheism per se has no dogma, it is difficult to find a causal link between atheism and immoral behavior or the commission of atrocities. It is more reasonable to conclude that Stalin killed these people because they were opposed to his desire to implement communism.

    I always try to remember this on a public forum - you may never win in the other person you're debating's mind, but on an open forum there are always other people looking. You could give them information they never knew and could help "win" them over. :)

    I love ice cores! I equivocate them to the crime scene investigators looking for what happened at a particular place. We are the investigators, the Earth is our crime scene, and the ice cores are the "smoking gun," if you will. It's just brilliant how much stuff they can find in those chilly tubes.
