    Mistaken Identity and Jesus - doesn't require a look-a-like

What happened to the body that was in the tomb? I thought in the story the body from the tomb and the body the disciples saw were the same bodies.

    Mistaken Identity and Jesus - doesn't require a look-a-like

You just ignored the argument - maybe it was too difficult for you. It is hard to argue against a person who thinks the Bible is 100% true.... so I had to mention an example that seems to involve many contradictions.... even though it isn't about Jesus. I mean a single contradiction can be easy...

    Mistaken Identity and Jesus - doesn't require a look-a-like

The ages in the Genesis genealogies have over a dozen contradictions.... are they all being "honest"? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genealogies_of_Genesis#Genesis_chrono-genealogy

    Mistaken Identity and Jesus - doesn't require a look-a-like

I prefer the mistaken identity theory though Bart Ehrman and Richard Carrier believe it could be hallucinations. So you think it is more likely that angels, etc, exist? In the gospels angels appeared to quite a lot of people including some shepherds. These days I don't hear many stories of...

    Mistaken Identity and Jesus - doesn't require a look-a-like

Only visible to certain people for a short amount of time seems compatible with it being a hallucination.... or group "visions" (also hallucinations?) https://ehrmanblog.org/what-really-happens-with-group-visions/

    Mistaken Identity and Jesus - doesn't require a look-a-like

I think that is only mentioned once in the gospels - in John, which was written last. That passage seems to be aware of its readers: John 20:29

    Mistaken Identity and Jesus - doesn't require a look-a-like

There could also be cases of mistaken identity when Jesus was dead. In the case of John the Baptist he was fairly freshly dead. I think mistaken identity makes more sense than Mary being unable to recognise "Jesus" (where Mary originally didn't mistake him for Jesus but later did). BTW what do...

    Mistaken Identity and Jesus - doesn't require a look-a-like

I'm talking about the appearances of "Jesus" after he died that are mentioned in the Bible. BTW in Mark 16:19 it says Jesus was taken up to heaven after he'd spoken with his disciples. In Luke 24:51 it says after Jesus was near Bethany he was taken up to heaven. Acts 1 says that Jesus was taken...

    Mistaken Identity and Jesus - doesn't require a look-a-like

Why did King Herod think that John the Baptist had been raised from the dead? (answer: mistaken identity) This thread talks about an explanation that doesn't require the impossible (in terms of physics, etc).

    Mistaken Identity and Jesus - doesn't require a look-a-like

This means that it could result in Christians believing Jesus had come back from the dead while just involving mistaken identity.

    Mistaken Identity and Jesus - doesn't require a look-a-like

Note that in all of these examples the person doesn’t look like the other person – unlike the identical twin theory. a) Thinking Jesus was someone else (according to some people) Matthew 16:14 – Jesus is believed to be John the Baptist, Elijah, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets Mark 6:14-16 –...

Is this Old Testament passage "hate speech"?

Is this Old Testament passage "hate speech"?

Well in my university prototype assignment presentation I said: The two female assessors didn't seem to have a problem with that though one had a problem with the animals being killed (she loves her pet birds). Note that Christians seem to think it was moral for babies to be killed in that...

Is this Old Testament passage "hate speech"?

Well Christians are more likely to believe that the passage doesn't involve hate speech..... then perhaps I could use their reasoning to defend against the verse possibly being considered hate speech. BTW in Steam you can have explicit sex scenes in games including semen. They also have games in...

Is this Old Testament passage "hate speech"?

I wanted to raise awareness of that passage. In a "playcentric game design" university subject that passage was one of the focuses as a "serious game" (having a purpose other than entertainment). The original "player experience goal" was to be shocked but now it is to feel "conflicted". If you...

Is this Old Testament passage "hate speech"?

I was thinking.... I'll eventually ask Steam if they'd consider Deuteronomy 20:17 to be hate speech. If it is then I'd ask if I can tell the public that Steam considers it hate speech..... though the "kill everything that breathes" part could still be a foundation for the game.

I think you mean 8..... Noah and his three sons, and their wives..... apparently Noah was about 500 at the time....
