    I'm not sure they did. Speaking as the forum's fashion icon, I never see pictures from the past of people wearing a top hat, floral shirts with striped ties and plaid trousers with argyle socks like I do today.

    As a veteran, I don't feel I'm due any more respect than anyone else. I actually feel a bit awkward when I'm thanked for my service. Most of us are in the service sector and serve other people in one way or another, either directly or indirectly. I'm no more special than anyone else.

    Yes, but I wouldn't consider like a "sixth sense" or a "gut feeling." Adequate for what? They're plenty adequate for seeing, hearing, touching, tasting, and smelling. I'm not sure what, beyond these, they're adequate for.
