It is impossible Mohammad (s) and his family (a) historically existed and they did not perform miracles.

That is thinner than a balloon stretched over a rain barrel. I'm out. Bye.

Even one disbeliever on the earth is too much.

Then why even start a thread? If he doesn't actually believe this crap, why not just say nothing?

It is impossible Mohammad (s) and his family (a) historically existed and they did not perform miracles.

It says the moon was split (which, by the way, is not mentioned in any other part of the world). It does NOT say that Mohamed split it. I'm not going to read all of that again. Please give me a verse number.

It is impossible Mohammad (s) and his family (a) historically existed and they did not perform miracles.

That was utterly meaningless. Please name one specific miracle that Mohamed preformed.

Even one disbeliever on the earth is too much.

You have a few hundred million coreligionists who believe exactly that, which is what scares me. One day, Islam will rule the world because of the number of fanatics that believe as you do. I grieve for my grandchildren.

    Fasad and the death penalty.

No, it doesn't. I gave some very clear examples where simple unbelief is considered fasad.

It is impossible Mohammad (s) and his family (a) historically existed and they did not perform miracles.

I don't care about hadiths. They can be made to say anything (like al masjid al aqsa being in Jerusalem). Please show me where it says Mohamed preformed miracles in the Qur'an. Thanks.

    Fasad and the death penalty.

The Qur'an contains the root word for 'corruption' (fasad [ألفَسَادَ] in Arabic) in 46 verses, and always in the context of being in opposition to the wishes of Allah. Verse 5:33 says that those who make war on Allah and His messenger, and who commit 'fasad' should either be killed or crucified...

    Jews in the Qur'an.

    Deflect. Deflect. Deflect.

    Jews in the Qur'an.

No, YOU are missing the point. That 1400 year old command, just like all others in the Qur'an, has no expiration date. It STILL applies, Me too. I said that. There is NO lie there. >>> Saudi Arabia, you know - the birth place of Islam - does not allow any overt practice of other religions...

    Jews in the Qur'an.

What stands? You still haven't addressed the Islamic draconian kingdom of SA and it's xenophobic, apartheid laws.
  12. stevecanuck

    Jews in the Qur'an.

You keep dodging comments. Try harder: Saudi Arabia, you know - the birth place of Islam - does not allow any overt practice of other religions. Churches and temples are illegal. When I lived in Egypt I visited a Coptic church and asked what it was like to live in an Islamic country that...

    Jews in the Qur'an.

You missed a line. Here it is again: Only a shameless propagandist would try to sell the idea that a protection 'tax' imposed on conquered people of an 'inferior' religion is just like any other tax.
  14. stevecanuck

    Jews in the Qur'an.

No, I have trouble with being governed by religious laws. I have trouble with being conquered by any religion and then forced to pay a protection tax and being treated like a second-class citizen just like verse 9:29 of the Qur'an advocates. How is that not the bleedin' obvious? Saudi Arabia...

    Jews in the Qur'an.

Only a shameless propagandist would try to sell the idea that a protection 'tax' imposed on conquered people of an 'inferior' religion is just like any other tax. When the Mafia does this it's called 'the protection racket'.
  16. stevecanuck

    Jews in the Qur'an.

Absolutely correct. Non-Muslims are forced to abide by Islam's rules. You agree with everything I say, but in such a way as to make it sound like we should just do it and shut up. Are you really that clueless as to think we should happily accept dhimmitude? Stupid strawman. Stupid strawman -...

    Jews in the Qur'an.

And this will eventually apply to the whole world, correct?
  18. stevecanuck

    Jews in the Qur'an.

Your spin cycle is stuck in the 'ON' position. Verse 9:29 tells Musllims to fight Jews and Christians until they are subdued. No amount of soft-peddling this subjugation in the form of dhimmitude and submission to Islamic law is going to change that.
  19. stevecanuck

    Jews in the Qur'an.

Doesn't all that spinnging make you dizzy? You have just agreed that "those who were given the scripture" are to be fought into submission and second-class citizenship, and you dare to make it sound like Muslims are dong them a favor.

    Jews in the Qur'an.

You have yet to address this. I answered with the following, and you just ignored it: Verse 9:29 very clearly says to fight Jews and Christians until they surrender.
