This makes sense, right? Their professions are not indicative of inherit intellectual ability, just their training and formal education. Two things that anyone could theoretically participate in if they had the interest.
It is hard to say but I will say this: when the US has larger overall turnouts, Democrats tend to win elections (on the national level). Not saying that trend would continue if we expand it to the entire population, but that is the trend.
The Mrs and I always say that we are waiting for Republicans to try to speak to centrist instead of the extremists. They could get our vote if they would just stop supporting racist legislation, gerrymandering elections, and destroying the planet.

I do not believe we are in position to make such a claim on a global scale. We have to take several factors into account including: geographic location, current vaccination % of the populace we are studying, current mandates in place, current restrictions in place, political landscape, vaccine...
