Are we blessed for doing good?

The testing will be done by the people who care about it. I don't, and its truth or falsity wouldn't change a thing about me.

Are we blessed for doing good?

I doubt it. If there was a version of good and evil enforced by a super-powerful or supremely-powerful entity, I guess it would make sense. But how would you test that, exactly?

    If Heaven/Hell is real...

You seem to refer to a specific version of heaven and hell, whether it belongs to any one religion or not. Ever read wuxia novels? Some times they introduce the idea of there being nine heavens and nine hells within the cycle of reincarnation. If you were the best possible person you would be...

    Why is Lolicon bad?

Perhaps a naive or domineering government will always have issues with a persons 'sick' preferences. I don't care either way about the legality of this genre, so long as the real children are left alone.

How do you stop arguing with fundamentalists? Should you?

Unless it's at odds with your morals or a subject that really bugs you, just tactfully extract yourself from the discussions. If it's a waste of time, and you know it's a waste of time, stop wasting your time. People will figure themselves out, the only obligation you have to others is the one...

Is it the job of the debate moderator to fact check?

Perhaps not the moderators themselves, but they should have some people at the ready to assist the moderators in doing so. Also, if the answer is too obscure to be accurately fact checked, the moderators should ask for clarification.

Hey guys i am new here n am an atheist, i would love to hv a one to one debate with religious ppl

Welcome. Glad to see atheism is becoming popular. Do you have a grasp on other things you may identify as while being an atheist? (e.g. Buddhist, secular-humanist, etc..)

    Ken ham's creationist science theories

His toilet "theories" can be logically disregarded by almost, if not every, ration and sane person with a middle school or above science education. Side note: His debate with Bill Nye was pretty funny, the Noah's Ark bit especially.

Liberal news media was so COMPLETELY wrong about #Brexit so why trust them about Trump?

You can be wrong on a thousand and one issues, but still correct on others. Take it situation by situation.

Is it the evil time or what?

It's a display of the difference between pity and empathy. More people can understand the feeling of getting high or drunk as a way of escape, rather than the feeling of having to support a child by yourself.

The solution is to arm every person in America

I can only see more gun deaths as a result. This doesn't fully concern me, I cannot legally posses a firearm. However, I'd prefer not to be shot by some idiot wanting to play hero in a crowd panic situation. I also wouldn't like it too much if my always intoxicated neighbors had such weapons...

    The Anti-Father's Day Thread

I drove my sister out to give her gift, as I might for the next few years, and then I drove home. Mother's day and father's day long ago lost any meaning to me as I deny the existence of any such figures in my life.

    Kansas Isn’t Home Anymore…

I live in Kansas, not that I want to. As if westboro wasn't bad enough. :(

    Cross-Dressing

Return that favor the next time the two of you walk past a crazy street preacher.

    Cross-Dressing

I'm more of a baggy jeans and solid color T-shirt kinda guy, critiquing someones fashion isn't my calling.

Would hillary make a good president?

Bad. We need someone to catch us up to the modern world, not dawdle around with money interests to gain one more penny before death.

    Verifiable evidence for creationism?

I'm fairly certain that this thread concerns whether there is any verifiable evidence for creationism.

    Verifiable evidence for creationism?

Well it is named after someone who can be considered equivalent to a saint within atheism. I don't know. I use it as a description of my attitude so the actual intention behind the definition is something I have yet to put deep thought into. How paradoxical of you.

    Verifiable evidence for creationism?

Maturity is best, I suppose... but not as fun. I treat Hitchens razor as an attitude towards claims, not as a claim itself. Clicking it in my quote box will take you to the description, if you can show me that it is a claim I will try to address that to the best of my ability.

    Verifiable evidence for creationism?

Yeah, no evidence at all... None. Nada. Zilch. Those idiot scientists were just wasting their time all these years.
