He compared the thought experiment to 3 religions not all of theology.
If you mean to say it is easier to tell if something is wrong than tell if something is right then yes.
The video does not make any suggestions of what to do about those claims.
Like the concepts of salvation, god, life...
It is a thought experiment.
It shows what would happen if a ridiculous claim was in those circumstances and compares the result to religion.
I swear this is why people need to learn basic philosophy or argumentation in schools.
You did not ask for evidence. You asked for empirical evidence. Using just empirical evidence is frankly moronic.
Prove to me empirically that reality exists.
1) The word atheist is not capitalized like a proper noun.
2) Being an atheist does not inherently make you a skeptic and most atheists are not skeptics.
3) Not all atheists are skeptics but all skeptics are atheists unless they had access to some information or experience outside of public...
Look I don't know how to explain this to you but is a lie has a bit of truth to it, it's still a lie.
The video does not assume that religion is a ridiculous claim, it puts forward that it acts how you expect a ridiculous claim would.
You also seem to overestimate how "rebellious" people are...
Thank you.
You just proved my point.
Since you just made an argument without using empirical evidence you apparently do believe that rational arguments are valuable.
By the way, I never said you can think out everything.
Congratulations.
You do not know how philosophy and/or logic works and I doubt you watched the video.
Rational arguments are based on concepts and thought experiments.
In other words:
Argument A is supported by Thought Experiment A.
Empirical arguments are based on empirical observations...
I think you missed the point.
The point was to show how an intelligent person can believe in a ridiculous claim in certain circumstances and then open you to question why most religions use these circumstances.
Here is where the problem is.
Fool said on his own authority to question everything but used a scripture as a vague backing.
I pointed out that questioning Yeshua's authority would make you got to hell in Christian theology.
I did not say that Yeshua said that.
