    Pros and cons of Catholicism.

If we did not agree on whether or not the earth is round does that change the truth of the matter?

    Atheists Don't Exist.

So what? Doesn't make it right. A normal human of course is usually the product of their time. But a person who is supposed to have a direct line to the source of all morality does not have that excuse.

    Pros and cons of Catholicism.

Give me a few minutes to get over my initial cringe over a viewpoint which I consider to be one of the main current problems with humanity before responding in full to that.

    Healthy envy for atheist integrity

    I meditate as well.

    Atheists Don't Exist.

Let me follow your logic here: It was okay in Germany when Hitler began killing Jews, Homosexuals, Romani, and other groups. Therefore it is less wrong if I do it.
  6. CogentPhilosopher

    Pros and cons of Catholicism.

So do you mean to say that you think truth is subjective?
  7. CogentPhilosopher

    Pros and cons of Catholicism.

I respect aspects of it yes.
  8. CogentPhilosopher

    Pros and cons of Catholicism.

Well if you would allow me to indulge in a personal anecdote, when I was going through my crisis of faith, I FELT that Wicca was true but THOUGHT that it was likely not. My feelings can be wrong, but properly applied logical thinking is rarely so.

    Atheists Don't Exist.

These are some great posts.... But this is a JOKE thread. It might be a good habit to see what section we are in before posting.

    Healthy envy for atheist integrity

That was beautiful Pope. I do however still believe that you are not as bad as you think and that can become a better person over time.
  12. CogentPhilosopher

    Pros and cons of Catholicism.

I do not see why you could not just like the concepts of Zeus and Jesus without trying to force yourself into believing one or the other is real.

    Atheists Don't Exist.

This is in the joke section btw. Though tbf the idea is pretty humorous.

    The Future of the Internet

So the majority of people decide what everyone can see. Therefore the majority opinion is likely that to not be as questioned. If the majority wants to ban people talking about ideas they do not like should that be allowed as well? Or do you just draw the line at the newer forms of communication?

    The Future of the Internet

And who decides what is good and bad? The internet should be free. By having true freedom of ideas the internet can be very useful. EDIT: Also I find it kind it kind of misleading to claim there is only one culture of peace.

    Crisis of Faith

I went from Christianity to Luciferianism to Wicca to pantheism then to atheism. If you want to base your religious beliefs off of emotion, then given your connection to Wicca and Christianity I would suggest looking into Trinitarian Wicca and Unitarian Universalism. On the other side if you...

Is there a temple of Science?

Science has actually has predictive qualities and much more useful products. If your religion did not exist then all of our devices would likely still exist. If science did not exist then they certainly would not exist. I know about science and religion and choose to embrace science and reject...
