Getting to know you: Discuss your faith

Just eclectic... I don't chose them, they come to me. I tried to find one specific pantheon but it just didn't work out that way. :)

Getting to know you: Discuss your faith

    1. I'm a solitary eclectic pagan, currently dedicated to Goddess Diana, but I also work with Devi Durga, and lately Bodhisattva Quan Yin, and Christ Jesus sometimes too. 2. The freedom to practice in a way that suits me the best. The fact that doctrine and theology is not binding and can be up...

What was the greatest invention of all time?

    The discovery of electricity!

    High

I experienced it... just before I had a psychotic break. So... whilst I understand, I don't give it much credit. As I recall reading on another thread, the temporal lobe can create all kinds of hallucinatory experiences when something is wrong with it. And I've had my fair share of seizures. I...

Does energy exist? Can you explain it to me?

True, I do this quite a bit and find it works :) Thanks for your response

Does energy exist? Can you explain it to me?

I was watching The Last Jedi at the cinema and felt that there is this kind of all encompassing force, but to say it's conscious or anything... I don't really get it. I tend to er on the side of naturalism and can only think that there are electrical charges between all things, right? Like...

The Last Jedi Movie: Definitely watch

I loved it! It was phenomenal and I would easily see it again at the cinema if I had the money! I feel like the new star wars triology is a lot like marmite. You either love it or you hate it.

    Bye bye 2017

This is clearly the best part about 2017 :D For me: I met a wonderful spiritual compatible man, who has contributed much healing to my loveless childhood I starting studying herbalism both as medicine and as a spiritual aid I bought my first furbaby ever, a beautiful miniature labradoodle...

When and How will You Explain LGBT People to Your Children?

I would either do the indirect thing (watch cute LGBT movies which I do anyway, but ones appropriate for kids and gush at how cute said LGBT couple is)... or just not make a big deal of it and one day when they are old enough just say that it doesn't matter gender you love, because love is love...

Alcohol and/or Drug Consumption Impact On Spirituality

Some things are good in small doses, but bad when taken to excess. I think drugs/alcohol are like that. As they say a little wine is good for the belly. Alcohol is anti-septic and kills off harmful bacteria lurking (external and internal). I think I remember whiskey is good for eliminating...

The lusts of men is the problem

Ah, I misunderstood, sorry. I was thinking on the level that both made a choice to come together and not be responsible, for example not practising safe sex, cheating on their partners, or even partaking in incest, etc. But on the level of rape, porn addiction (to the extent if comes between...

    Virginity

I voted it's kind of important. I think sex maybe not the concept of virginity per se but sex itself is an intimate act that is better done in a loving relationship. However I'm not much of a one night stand person so maybe for others it's different. To them maybe it doesn't matter nearly as...

The lusts of men is the problem

Aren't men and women equally responsible for their sexual mishaps? It takes two to tango...

North Korea says UN sanctions an act of war

Oh yeah definitely, but I feel like no one really wants to touch this whole North Korean thing with a ten foot pole. If I was president (ha), I'd like to come up with some contingency but... I'm not. Lol. We're reliant on what the people up top have to say about it. Trump may be just as reckless...

    why homosexuals?

I don't think infertile women would say they're particularly happy?

North Korea says UN sanctions an act of war

North Koreans are always declaring war but they're just full of empty threats. Never have they actually carried out with it. Like Nowhere Man said I feel for the North Korean people as they are the victims in all this. Somehow sometime things will have to change, but it's probably unlikely still.

    What's Your Totem?

I dream a lot about black dogs. Funny that now I have a black dog of my own :)

Winter Solstice - significant or not?

Yes! At a purely basic level, it marks when the days become longer again and the sun shines more. I'm studying herbalism so it's kind of exciting to observe the cycle of death and waiting for new life again. Symbolically it reminds me that even when your life feels the darkest, there is always...
