This is how I understand it. The idea of there being only one God stems from the being all knowing, all powerful, and all good all together. If there is one God with all those attributes then why is there the need for any other gods?
But the idea that one being could be all those things at once...
Also, an important thing is to let yourself be flexible and shift as your grow and come to understand what you really believe. Give yourself time to become.
For myself, trying to fit into organised religions never worked. I always seem to have beliefs and practices that come from all kinds of spiritualities and never anything concrete as is practiced today. In a very broad term I just term myself as 'Pagan' these days, not belonging to any one...
What are your thoughts on this? When I mean pop culture I mean like music idols and superheros from TV that speaks to your soul. In my case, Wonder Woman as depicted in the latest movie is my hero, and even better she was modelled on Goddess Diana who is my patron, so it feels nice to link the...
I wish programming was a class I had to take in school, as these days it would be so handy. But I think many schools are adding it to their curriculum now.
I saw an advert for this and would SO love it, unfortunately it's a little on the expensive side. But for those of us pagans who work with lunar energies, wouldn't this be awesome to have? :D

Hello :) Hope you find what you're looking for as I have. This site helped me a lot - having so many different beliefs shared in one place really opens you up to a new world.
Maybe illogical is too strong a word :) I just don't understand the black vs white thing, because nothing in reality is actually like that. Why would it apply to an afterlife?
But in regards to if there's an afterlife, I guess it's 'illogical' too to say there is one. But what do I know! Maybe...
So here's the thing. When you look at the natural world, sure there are prisons for 'bad' people, but they are still in this world. The idea that the afterlife is split into these two distinct good and bad realms to me doesn't make sense. Wouldn't it make more sense that an afterlife mirrors...
I think spiritual can mean on a basic level committed to one's own self improvement. So yes you can be atheist and spiritual. You can also be atheist and religious ("preachy")
It's ok, I guess we are both confused! To me the idea that the gods are merely physical objects creates a lot of blur between different deities over the world that are meant to represent the same thing. Is the moon Selene? Thoth? Mano? Arianhrod? Are they all the same? How can they be? I feel...
I think compared to other deities across the world, the Christian god has a similar amount of flaws. So that's my measuring stick. He is average, with his good and bad points like any pagan deity.
I don't really take that view, I tend to think the gods separate from nature, as individual beings like you or I. Hard polytheism. Are you coming from a pantheistic point of view?
I was raised Christian and was always told that God had absolute power over the physical realm as he created it. I never saw evidence of this which is one reason I became polytheistic. Now I'm wondering if the gods are limited much like us, in that they don't have much influence over the...
