Scripture has been written as recently as 1921 CE, when the last volume(s) of the Baha'i scriptures--comprising in toto around 200 volumes--were being written.
So it's definitely not all "millenia old!"

Clearly these geniuses don't appreciate the fact that that the US Constitution--the last I heard--states specifically "There shall be no ex post facto law," which means all this jabber about passing a law to sanction Mahler for something he did in the past is PURE NONSENSE!!
Just the facts...
The only "rival" God has is the perversity of some humans, who are clearly in no way any real "threat" to Him!
You overlook the fact that we're not contradicting that because satan IS a person: specifically, any person who prefers his own lower (animal) nature to God.
So the point remains...
Heaven and hell aren't places: they're conditions.
Heaven is spritual nearness to God; hell spiritual remoteness from Him.
And God being One, Supreme, and without equal or rival, there is no "devil" out there competing with Him or trying to get us.
Further, "satan" merely refers to our...
Well, the Baha'i Faity is gradually getting less "new" every year (we just began BE 171 last week), but one of its central principles is the harmony of science and religion: both are needed, and properly viewed, they're eminently compatible! :-)
Peace,
Bruce
And who exactly determined what it "obviously" is and is not??!!
More modern religions tend to describe hell as spiritual separation from God as well as stating in scripture that it is indeed a temporary condition, not a permanent one.
And this is just as "obvious" to me as your opinion...
However, God is One, Supreme, and without equal or rival! There is thus no "devil" out there competing with Him or trying to get us.
And "satan" merely refers to our own lower (animal) nature when we give it control instead of our higher (spiritual) nature.

>Have you ever found a single bug in Islam?
Many, MANY bugs, in fact!
You overlook the fact that both Surih 7 and Surih 54 mention swarms of locusts--and thus, LOTS of bugs! :-)

>Do religions negate social unity?
Some clearly do not, and indeed, PROMOTE unity, both social and religious (as well as of God)!
The Baha'i Faith is a clear example of this given that these three unities are its most central principles.

Not so:
What you overlook is that hell isn't a literal place, but is rather the ABSENCE of something, namely absence of spiritual nearness to God.
As such, it's nothing God-created, but a circumstance that certain individuals acquire themselves through their own poor choices.
(A good...
While Judaism may indeed teach the existence of original sin, what it does NOT teach is inheritance of sin!!
I refer you to Ezekiel 18:14-20 for the details.
Which makes it all the more ironic that though Christians claim to accept the Jewish scriptures as part of their Bible, some of them...
Which simply demonstrates yet again that you have NO IDEA what you're talking about!
Clearly the Baha'i Faith does indeed have rules, and it's not at all a "do anything" religion. A tiny bit of research on your part should make this abundantly clear.
The minimum requirement is...
No: You are TOTALLY IGNORING the quote I just posted which says PRECISELY THE OPPOSITE!!
Definitely not: One of our central principles is (as I said in a previous post) "Individual Investigation of Truth," which says that everyone has both the right and the responsibility to investigate the...
Not when properly understood, no!
I quote the Baha'i scriptures [emphasis added]:
"There can be no doubt whatever that the peoples of the world, of whatever race or religion, derive their inspiration from one heavenly Source, and are the subjects of one God. The difference between the...
Quite so!!
Indeed, the benefits of having snakes around are far greater than commonly imagined!:
Not only do they reduce the population of rodents, thus helping prevent bubonic plague, but those same rodents also help transmit Lyme disease because the ticks carrying it need to drink rodent...
That you'll have to ask God.
But I do note that the Christian scriptures state specifically [paraphrasing]: "To whom much is given, much is required!"
So it apparently works both ways.

In the Baha'i view, Muhammad, like Jesus, Moses, and others, was inspired by God with the Revelation that He then offered to humanity.
