    What's your carbon footprint?

87 with a national average of 130. That sucks, we have to get that number smaller.

    Obamacare bailout? Already?

While I fully agree that we should have universal healthcare, Obamacare was not the way to do it. Extending Medicare would have been a good first step. But the OP, if true, doesn't surprise me. Obamacare was a mess from the start (hey, I agree with Rev Rick for once :p ). As far as Obamacare...

    What is god made of?

Actually, I'd like a variety of answers, to know what different people think. But I would like specifically for the Abrahamics to answer.

    What is god made of?

This is aimed mostly at monotheists, particularly Abrahamics, but any theist can answer. A simple question: what is god made of? Light, energy, what? Is god made of anything at all? If that's the case, how does that work?

    Sub-forum for third parties

I support the Green Party, and it turns out there's about 8 people or so here that do.

Since we have a third party thread

I think politics needs to change, parties and systems shouldn't remain static. This is why we're here now trying to find viable ways to get more support for third parties. I'd hope that somewhere down the road we'd be discussing fourth parties.

Since we have a third party thread

I think the reason why there's not enough support for third parties is that most people are content with the status quo. They don't like change, and they're quite alright just dealing with things as they are. The problem with this is that nothing is going to get done this way, it's not going...

"Where a rational conversation about guns ought to start"

While I think the 2nd amendment should be repealed, that would only work in a perfect world. Your post nailed it, I think.

    Sub-forum for third parties

That's why I started this thread, to see how much support there would be for one.

    Sub-forum for third parties

Awhile back, I started a thread/poll asking if there was enough interest in starting a sub-forum for the Green party, which there wasn't. But Draka suggested there may be enough interest in a third party sub-forum. So I'll start the poll here: do you support third parties, and have interest in...

    How viable is anarchism?

All good answers. What I'm basically seeing, is that anarchism can work on a small scale, but nation-wise, like the whole of the US, it wouldn't. I basically consider myself Green, particularly liberal (most Greens tend to be liberal, I know there's right Greens, but those are few and far...

    How viable is anarchism?

From time to time, I think about what I believe politically, and most of my beliefs are centered on Green and Socialist ideas. I've considered anarchism from time to time, and sometimes I even identify as some type of anarchist (generally eco(green)-anarchism or anarcho-socialism). But, there...

The Religious Right's New Target: Transgender People

    That's hilarious. Judgmental, much?

The Religious Right's New Target: Transgender People

So judging a person's political stances, and not liking them for it, is immoral? Oh, the irony...again. Moral low ground? You have to be kidding. And before you judge me as a social democrat, you may be interested to know that I'm a Green Anarchist. So try again, and this time, with a...

The Religious Right's New Target: Transgender People

Caught in what act? I've said it twice already, and I'll say it a third time: Palin is an idiot. If I were so ashamed of it, I wouldn't keep saying, I'd be trying to hide it. The reason why disagreement comes second, is because the argument has gotten old. Face it, Palin is just like all the...

The Religious Right's New Target: Transgender People

Liberals don't like Palin for her political views. I know that's sometimes a hard concept for conservatives to grasp, always going for the idea that every time a liberal disagrees with a conservative, it's a personal attack. And, in that case, yes, she's an idiot. I just call it how I see it...

The Religious Right's New Target: Transgender People

    Tell that to the neo-cons.

The Religious Right's New Target: Transgender People

I think my irony meter just exploded. Conservatives spew more hatred and ignorance than anything I've ever seen. I've grown to see conservatism as a disease, of which morality, knowledge, wisdom, and compassion are the medicine. Liberalism is a much more ethical and humanistic ideology...

White House Against Iran Sanctions Bill

All nuclear technology should be banned, plain and simple. If not, why should the US be lord over who does and doesn't have it?

Why can't Evol just admit to Design?

Oh yeah, I forgot about that one. I think it was David Hume who originally formulated that argument, wasn't it? :p
