LGBT is more of a culture than it is to designate anything. Notice how most people refer to it as the 'lgbt community'? I've known of a lot of gay men who have gone under a self imposed exile from that 'community', and good for them.
I did a sort of meditation/trance once to connect with my true self/highest self. I invoked the power of the planet Neptune and one my gods. Afterwords, I had a little time dissociating because of how intense it was.
Originally, it meant 'questioning' but has been commandeered to mean 'queer'. 'Queer' is meant to be...I'm not entirely sure. Like Saint Frankenstein said, there are many who want to protest assimilation, so anything gay related is labeled queer and anything in between(?).

This is more about the specific statement itself than the context, but this is a perfectly valid statement for someone who is complaining about a country they are not native to (historically, racially, ethnically, etc).
I’m a little lost, but there are many deities that are the actual heavens in many mythologies. Ouranos/Caelus, being the most famous. Takamagahara, or Ten, is the Japanese heavenly world.
