What will Christians and Muslims have to say

The above is too transparent. I point out one error to you and now I’m: an insistent anal reading and comprehension challenged intolerant of other’s opinions He even says he’s worried about me now! :) I’d rather wade through a pond of hog slop than miss your next insult, Caladan...

What will Christians and Muslims have to say

We? Insist? Anal? Wouldn’t a man of honor simply admit his error without resorting to insults? Perhaps you still don’t understand. Uncertain. Does. Not. Convey. An. Opposite. Certain. Bob: I‘m uncertain it’s 8 o’clock, so it’s not 8 o’clock...

What will Christians and Muslims have to say

Caladan, did you think “uncertain” conveyed an “opposite certain”? Such that, your being uncertain about “people with testimonies about receiving the holy spirit into their lives, and that they are 'born again'? and found God?” means you are certain their testimonies are without merit? That’s...

What will Christians and Muslims have to say

“Seem to be” shows you are uncertain.

What will Christians and Muslims have to say

Don’t be a pessimist. Shouldn’t we be fair to former homosexuals (some claim to have had 100 - 1000 partners) who’ve testified their orientation truly changed? Whether their testimonies are true, we need to respect them enough to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Hi Draka; looks to me like sexual orientation can change:

Is it ever okay to steal?

I’d know the money had to be a gift from God…to me…an answer to my faithful prayers! Wouldn’t want to insult God or show lack of faith by returning the money…that would be sin. Finders keepers, losers weepers. :)

    The idea of pure awareness

    Isn't ‘pure awareness’ simply peace?

Jesus vs Adam - Are they the same?

Well, we have Christ with God as creator in the beginning: In the beginning was the Word, and the word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being by Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being. (Jn 1:1-3) And the Word became flesh, and...

    Assisted suicide.

Yes. My position is: Whether physical or mental, if life becomes unbearable, and if there is truly no possibility of relief through medications, therapy etcetera, one is better dead. Here in Oregon we have legalized physician assisted suicide under the following conditions: “The law states...

    Assisted suicide.

I agree. In certain circumstances it is kind and merciful. It is better than forcing someone to endure a hopeless, pain-filled miserable existence.

    When I Die

I’m afraid the above list is skewed. :( No one is all good. Please list a few mean, unkind, and just plain bad-type things you’ve done.

    If all religion is bad...

I agree. Repetition is a major component of cognitive therapy as well. Repetition can help one to develop, say, an attitude of compassion for others. A study employing monks revealed that repeated compassion-meditation not only helped them develop an attitude of compassion it changed their...

    New age movement

I think Heneni answered well. If I may add two cents to ponder: “I said, you are gods, And all of you are sons of the Most High. Nevertheless you will die like men, And fall like any one of the princes.” (Ps 82:6,7 NASB) Theologians disagree about who God is addressing as "gods" in the...

Pope makes eejits of the Church again.

I was kidding. Of course anal sex between a man and a woman poses similar risks. Here’s some info about anal sex and homosexuality found on the I-net: Mechanical damage to the rectum will happen regardless of safe sex measures. - (ethicsforschools.org) (gay sex the health risks) No...

Pope makes eejits of the Church again.

Something magical ‘suddenly’ happens when a man and a woman do it that renders the act harmless. Furthermore, if you’re not having sex the Navy way, “ten toes up and ten toes down” you're wrong. :)

Are you referring solely to heterosexual acts? Pardon me for asking, but please define the phrase 'expressing sexuality'. I can think of several different definitions, and I want to be sure I understand where you're at before I answer your questions.

A noted crackpot? Why? Satinover won a National Merit Scholarship to M.I.T, where he obtained a B.S. in 1971. He subsequently obtained his B.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an Ed.M. in Clinical Psychology and Public Practice from Harvard University, and his M.D. at the...

Pope makes eejits of the Church again.

“anal intercourse, penile or otherwise, traumatizes the soft tissues of the rectal lining. These tissues... are nowhere near as sturdy as vaginal tissue. As a consequence, the lining of the rectum is almost always traumatized to some degree by any act of anal intercourse. Even in the absence of...

Pope makes eejits of the Church again.

My friend is a nurse employed at a San Diego hospital. She told me it’s not uncommon to see homosexual men come in with damaged sphincters. Sometimes they're torn so severely they’re difficult to repair.
