True. Jedi philosophy is inspired by these and others. We are simply using popular culture to help rally good people. Many of use still claim our traditional religions also, which explains why I say that Jesus had the ultimate midichlorian count. ;)
Depends on nature of the contact. If it was just a lights in the sky type encounter, then, no. If it was an actual, landed and alien outside of craft type, then yes, I would seek out the best way to inform people without alerting the government first. I have no idea if these things are real, but...
You guys need to have more faith in mankind. When the poo finally hits the fan, people do stand up. There many of us who simply will not "be assimilated". Now, on the other hand, I do question the wisdom of giving self-awareness to machines. You don't need to be a Sci-Fi fan to realize that...
Welcome. If you still feel that you're a Christian, explore the various Christian faith, and eventually you will either find one that matches beliefs, or you will accept that yours are unique. That, dear friend, is perfectly fine. Enjoy!:yoda:
The area surrounding the black sea is mountainous, but the sea area itself isn't. It's very possible that torrential rains weakened the land mass that collapsed, allowing the flood. It's been reported that the sea would have risen at a rate of 6 inches per day, so it wouldn't have been beyond...
I feel that science greatly confirms scripture, for example, the Great Flood. Science shows that about 7000 years ago the Mediterranean Sea swelled[/SIZE] past it's banks and suddenly burst out onto the plains that would become the Black Sea. This would have seemed to the people of that area as...
I'm not a big Palin fan, but I love the way it makes peoples eyes bug out whenever her name is mentioned. Lol. I wonder how she will decorate the White House? Just Kidding! Jeesh!
I personally don't see any conflicts between a belief in God, and science, but then I've always been very flexible about my interpretations of religious texts. For example, I don't see a creation/evolution conflict because I see evolution as a tool used for creation, sort of "God's Paintbrush."...
I'm no expert, just pointing out that a doctor diagnosing a person who thinks they are the messiah as experiencing psychosis, would most often be correct. If the person seriously believed in their delusion, then they would reject the diagnosis, just as the OP says he has. Correct?
It's spelled "psychosis", and if you have it, chances are you aren't going to believe you do. A person experiencing psychosis has a distorted sense of reality, or delusions, and will often fiercely deny their condition. I'm not saying you are, friend, just a bit of neighborly advice.
