    Ezra the son of God?

You're clearly having difficulty reading between the lines here so I'll spell it out clearly for you: 1) Quran claims Jews call Ezra SOG, Christians call Messiah SOG. 2) it is well known that Christians do call Christ SOG 3) Muslims believe Quran to be literal truth from God and therefore...

    Ezra the son of God?

That's why I inserted the Islamic claim in my OP

    Ezra the son of God?

I don't think it's unreasonable for me to ask Jews a question about a Jewish Prophet (wanting an answer from a Jewish point of view, why would I even ask Muslims that?)

I'll go down one, sounds like fun :)

    Ezra the son of God?

Yes that's the only answer I've had so far, "it's in the Quran so it's true." :) I find it worrying that people can quote verses which say "May Allah destroy them (Jews and Christians)" in a public place.

    Ezra the son of God?

Yes I thought as much, they must have heard it locally and just added in to the Quran. Waraqa (Muhammad's first wife's uncle) was an ebonite priest so it's also likely Muhammad could have learnt it from them.

    Ezra the son of God?

Shalom all, There is a passage in the Quran chapter 9 verse 30 which reads: Sahih International: The Jews say, "Ezra is the son of Allah "; and the Christians say, "The Messiah is the son of Allah." That is their statement from their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved...

There are no mistakes in Quran

Is this an admission that there is a mistake in the Quran? If it's from G-d then it doesn't matter what it claims to be, it must get its basic biology right. This is just one example of the many errors in the Quran, and it is enough to prove it's not from G-d.

There are no mistakes in Quran

Do you reject the Quran commentary provided in my previous post? I Why do you keep bringing up the fact that I'm agnostic? It's not a position I need to defend, could there be a God? There may be, it's possible but we don't know for sure and it seems unlikely (unlikely to me anyway). Can we...

There are no mistakes in Quran

Surah Dhaariyaat verse 50 (Surah 51) http://www.alislam.org/quran/tafseer/?page=2490&region=E1 Some Muslims try saying the particle 'min' should actually be translated as 'some of' rather than 'of', this is incorrect and is another example of Muslims applying modern scientific knowledge on...

I will post a thread about why I left Islam soon :)

    Peaceful options?

Ibn Ashur looks good, more Islamic scholars like him :) Does this mean that the verses relating to Jizyah are now redundant and can in essence be thought of as reformed?

Is Quran copied from Jewish Bible/Torah? : Quran did not copy from Jewish Bible/Torah

And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Genesis 1:2 - KJV And He it is Who has created the heavens and the earth in six Days and His Throne was on the water, Qur'an 11:7 As I stated before...

    Peaceful options?

How can you determine what is mainstream Islam and what isn't? You've mentioned Saudi and mainstream Islam in Saudi is salafism, as practised by munajjid. You're missing my point, I don't really care about which countries enforce Jizyah and which don't, Islamic texts do order the Jizyah tax...

Is Quran copied from Jewish Bible/Torah? : Quran did not copy from Jewish Bible/Torah

Questioning ones faith? Lol Also many Muslims I speak to say Islam is different from other religion as its not a leap of faith, they say it has linguistic miracles, scientific miracles and many other miracles which prove that it is Gods word. If, however, it is a leap of faith for you then I...

Is Quran copied from Jewish Bible/Torah? : Quran did not copy from Jewish Bible/Torah

When a man comes and states that all previous scriptures have been corrupted, yet uses said scriptures to come up with his own "revelation" and use it to take control of a nation, I will call that plagiarism. Muhammad clearly took previous works, altered them to suit his ideology and then...

Is Quran copied from Jewish Bible/Torah? : Quran did not copy from Jewish Bible/Torah

The point of my post was to highlight the fact that too many Muslims " know that many stories in the Quran were already in previous Books because Allah told us." You have every right to believe what you want and I have nothing against Muslims (indeed, my whole family is Muslim), I'd just like...
