Are Atheists just close minded Agnostics?

Why yes it does which only proves the point that while there are similarities to Athesists and Agnostics they still are different. Instead of worring about what I thought, they where busy getting us another beer. :slap:

I can get the beer and leave the furniture where it is at the same time.

I don't see how these hybid beliefs play any part of this discussion other than to confuse.

A Theist believes in God.
An Atheist does not believe in God.
An Agnostic does not believe or disbelieve in God.

Actually if you think about it, an Agnostic has the most sound reasoning and is the most open minded of the three.

An Agnostic accepts that there is no proof either way, which honestly is the truth of the matter if you use reasoning and not probability in your thinking.
Emphasis mine. :faint: Wow! I don't visit here very often, but I would have to say that you are starting to grow Reverend Rick. :highfive:

Now we just have to resolve your issues with economic realities. ;)

As long as she's just bringing you a beer, you've got nothing to complain about.

Now, I want a beer.

OK, while we sip these brewski's you do realise that while there is a greater chance of no rain tonight than rain, my bones could be telling me the truth and it is not impossible it could rain

As an atheist I wouldn't say that it's impossible that it could rain. I would say what evidence do you have that it will and if you fail to convince me, then I will not believe your claim.

Analogies and metaphors all have their limits, and before we take this one any further, its weakness is that it has actually rained before.

A more accurate one would be that your bones are telling you that a meteor is going to fall out the sky and hit your car, so you're going to move it.

I accept that analogy, and see your point. It is generous that you see any possibility that I might be right.

My argument may be a no true scotsman, but honestly if there is no difference between Agnosticism and Atheism, why the need for the two?

According to your logic, your all scotsman.

A distinction is necessary because your question to me was, an atheist wouldn't think that a god is possible, right? And I answered that it's not a matter of whats possible but whats probable.
Probable and possible are synonyms so I'm officially confused.

Well, there are different definitions and usages, but, as I see it in the most broad sense, agnosticism is about knowledge and atheism/theism is about belief. If we're being honest, everyone is agnostic - nobody knows whether god exists or not; now whether people choose belief or not makes them an atheist or a theist. They describe different things, and are not mutually exclusive.

There are actual reports of cars being hit by meteors. Its more like, he feels it in his bones that aliens from Pluto are going to abduct his car, so he has to hide it in the church vestibule for the night.
