As most of the others have said, - we don't know that anyone has ever spoken with a God, or if one or more even exist.

Saying your message is from a God, doesn't make it so.

*

I disagree god exists; so, like any topic, religious or not, Id always ask out of the idea god exists or does not exist. His existence does not matter to me. But I dont need to project my opinion to ask questions that entertains the contrary.

:leafwind:

If someone knows god does not exist, the question relating to god wouldnt be a problem to answer because both would go by the idea as the topic not the validity of the information before the question is answered.

We dont need to know that god exists, nor critize questions that assumes his existence, to answer questions about him. Its not math when one needs to know arethmatic to get algebra. Its just a topic.

It means steping from religious bias (both sides) and answer the question as is.

Only believers and non-believers (those opposing god-religions namely christianity) tend to be defensive over the word god. To order to answer the question, the believer cant entertain answer without subjecting their beliefs when some questions...

Or.

You have the other pary critizing any question made of god without entertaining the fact he does exist in order to make sense of the question asked and the answer given.

It is a very irritating point or view. Its like saying a character needs to exist in order to entertain if he did, what if.... if he does not, what if...

Has nothing to do with god.

The problem is when 90% of you dont anser questions really about god. Either one side, he has to exist in order to answer a question. We need to have evidence he exisrs before answering the question. You guys can talk about topics from different views on non-religious topics but religion is a hot spot.

Baloney. You are all over the place.

Even if one decides God exists, that does not make it true that this God communicates with humans, or in the case of such actually happening, - that the person calling himself a prophet actually has heard it, and isn't lying.

And.... that is not the point of the question.

Youre assuming a god has to exist in order for the question to make sense. I can careless whether or not god exists, talks to prophets, etc.

Both believers and opposing never answer questions (any) as is. You guys rather debate about the question rather than give a direct answer.....

Silly, but I rarely see any RFer christian or anti- answer straightforward. Its usually those who have other religions and not afflilated with christianity get it. :(

This is what you wrote -

If prophets are human as we are, have we lost our hearing since 1817 (bahaullah) and 1805 (joseph smith), where they have heard the voice of god but our ears are mute to the message they received directly?

Where, from point A to point B, did we loose our hearing?

You got the answers that you did, - because you wrote it as if fact.

Thus again, - Does God even exist to talk to so-called prophets? Even if a God does exist, there is no proof such God spoke to anyone.

You are expecting what? That people whom, - for instance, - don't believe a God exists, or are Deists, etc., - are going to discuss why God isn't talking to people today as if they believe a God once did?

For it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem" Luke 13:33

You claim that this should be interpreted as "Prophets who die outside Jerusalem [Israel] are not real prophets"?
The right way to put it would be "In my honest opinion [IMHO]", don't you think so? This makes you a much nicer person, believe me!

IMHO I will prove that you interpreted this verse wrong. Why? You took this verse out of context AND didn't use your common sense

Jesus states very clearly in the next verse "34: O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those sent to her !"
If you kill someone they kind of perish, don't you think.
If you kill someone in Jerusalem, they kind of perish in Jerusalem and not outside Jerusalem.
It's not the otherway around as you suggest.

Lament over Jerusalem
…32But Jesus replied, “Go tell that fox, ‘Look, I will keep driving out demons and healing people today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach My goal.’ 33Nevertheless, I must keep going today and tomorrow and the next day, for it is not admissible for a prophet to perish outside of Jerusalem. 34O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those sent to her! How often I have longed to gather your children together as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were unwilling.

You bypass my point by attack :(

How do you know?

Ask.

Assumptions are the mother of all mess ups

Especially online

Online????

Maybe because my experience is practice and devotion not hardcore reading. I find Im more close to christ by practice not by reading.

Funny, I think most christians would look to their bible if christ showed up. Hed probably roll his eyes and go back to his father. Telling his father: they have their nose stuck in a book. Pun intended.

I know. Takes awhile to actually understand what you guys mean by truth. I had to experience it.

Your interpretations and quotes are good for study but if you really want to talk about christ, we exchange experiences.

No judging.

To believers. Not everyone is like you.

Once you get out of that them vs. you mindset, it would be easier to talk about christ.

Cant do that when you are belittling people who disagree with you.

My post had direct questions. You bypassed them all with attacks.

Why on earth do you do that?

Its really hard to take you serious when you attack more than you converse. :(

It's easy to figure out, if a person really knows the bible or not.

Alot of Christians are taught they will be Raptured out, That Christ Jesus will come before tribulation to Rapture them out.

But however, Christ Jesus can not come, until the last Prophecy of Revelation happens first.

That by the time the last Prophecy of Revelation happens, the tribulation is over.
So what good is the Rapture going to do.

This is just one many things that are found in the Bible, that will show just how much does a person really know the bible or not.

You have the meaning of Luke 13:33 wrong.

It does no mean that a prophet can't die outside Jerusalem. Many of them had died elsewhere. It means that he has to keep going as a prophet in Jerusalem, even with Herod after him, - until his death/perfection. He is using the word that is translated as "perish," to mean the loss of his teaching in those last days..

Luk 13:31 The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying unto him, Get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill thee.

Luk 13:32 And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.

Luk 13:33 Nevertheless I must walk to day, and to morrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.

Luk 13:34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!

All the Holy Prophet's of Christ Jesus, died in and around Jerusalem.

You got the answers that you did, - because you wrote it as if fact.

Facts are written as statements not "what if" questions. The highlighted portion is part of a "what if...."

If prophets are human as we are, have we lost our hearing since 1817 (bahaullah) and 1805 (joseph smith), where they have heard the voice of god but our ears are mute to the message they received directly?

Statements of fact would read:

Prophets are human as we are. We have lost our hearing...
No question mark.

Its not making a statement or fact. It is asking a direct question to which, again, you and many like you rather fuss over the question rather than just not reply or add a productive answer.

So cut it.

Thus again, - Does God even exist to talk to so-called prophets? Even if a God does exist, there is no proof such God spoke to anyone.

Of course not. Its not about me. I asked a question so to converse. Stating it as if I stated a fact would make me a hippocrate.

You are expecting what? That people whom, - for instance, - don't believe a God exists, or are Deists, etc., - are going to discuss why God isn't talking to people today as if they believe a God once did?

If you guys cannot entertain the questions point, it is rediculous to reply

Unless you just want to make argument over questions as if it were a sound debate. :( dont answer the question.

Some christians cant answer what-ifs
Some anti-christians cant answer them

Both without sarcasm and argument.

Its silly. Cut it.

How often I have longed to gather your children together as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were unwilling.

= = =

Then I can give you 1 extra bonus:
"for it is not admissible for a prophet to perish outside of Jerusalem"
IMHO this means "Thy will be done", so it's the will of God that this all happens
And to be very clear here. "Will of God" doesn't mean "Desire/wish of God"

To illustrate the above: It's the Will of God that if you jump from the Eiffel Tower you most probably break a bone or two. The Will of God just means that God created Gravity, so yes it's His Will that Gravity does it's job properly [in this case breaking a bone or two]. This doesn't mean that it's God's desire to punish you, and that Gravity is a cruel thing invented by a cruel God. No it just means that you didn't use your common sense, also given by God. Of course sometimes I don't use common sense, as in my previous reply here. But I didn't blame God for not rescuing me in time. I just took myself to be responsible.

IMHO: All above is just hypothetically speaking. God can't be proven scientifically. Believe systems are personal imagination, can't be scientifically proven to be completely true [esp. the parts talking about God]. So it's all just a bit of mental gymnastics to wake up this morning.]

What Christ Jesus is referring to, is that no Holy Prophet's died outside of Jerusalem.

When Christ Jesus said, that it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.
Meaning that no Prophet will die outside of Jerusalem.
All the Holy Prophet's died in and around Jerusalem.

1. Why do you find fault and ignorance in other peoples posts? ( not just mine)

2. Does finding fault and rudeness help you spiritually?

Refresh

Look if see someone not speaking according to what the Bible does say, Rather than let them go, I try to help them to see, What the bible actually does say.

So if I ask, What is the number one last Prophecy to happen, in the book of Revelation.
That when this Prophecy happens Christ Jesus returns.
Which prophecy is that, in Revelation ?

1. Dont you see the boomarang affect: when you belittle what others know and experience, the less productive response you dont expect in return?

2. Is there not another approach to which belittles no one's knowledge and experiences and as to not mock others who differ with your opinions on scripture interpretations?

There's no belittle to anyone, It would be more wrong for me knowing something being taking out of context and say nothing.
It's like this, You complained to me, saying I didn't answer your questions.
But yet you haven't answered anything that I ask you.
You know it's a two street and not a one way as you suppose it is.

So again I will ask you.
In the book of Revelation, The number one last Prophecy, When this Prophecy happens then Jesus returns.

Jesus can not return until this Prophecy happens, When this Prophecy happens then Jesus returns and brings an end to the Tribulation.

You dont see it. A lot of us do. I know, for me, if I knew people said I belittle them, Id reflect on what I said and ask for clarification. It doesnt always work online. Assumptions are the mother of all evils. But if we step back from our own views, we may learn about how we affect others: of course, ic thats important to you.

It's like this, You complained to me, saying I didn't answer your questions.

I quoted the questions I asked. After multiple posts, I had to literally seperate questions. Then- you answer.

Maybe you either dont read it in full, already preasume what I would say, and/or lumping everything may be confusing and you continue without feedback if Im following you correctly.

Conversations involve understanding of both parties. If not, its a waste.

But yet you haven't answered anything that I ask you.
You know it's a tw

I know. I said we are not scholars-that was my answer. Maybe you skiped that, I dont know.

I cant answer your question. What I can say is if you are judging my knowledge of scripture spiritually based on questions and making conclusions of my knowledge,

That is total belittlement and mocking my intellegence. Its passive agressive. From your words: "Take it or leave it." ;)

Jesus can not return until this Prophecy happens, When this Prophecy happens then Jesu

What does this have to do with you are being deaf to gods communication that the prophets can hear???

Moving the goal posts.

Why can you not hear gods voice and they can?
Who says we don't?

It's seems to me that we have simply gotten less gullible and naive. There are plenty of people living today who claim that they are prophets from God. We've just matured enough to realize that they shouldn't be taken seriously.
Indeed. I talk to God. God talks back (sorta). He told me and I am super serious (not really): STOP JUST BELIEVING WHAT PEOPLE TELL YOU. :p

Does jesus give you the means to belittle other people?
Whitewashed tombs and broods of vipers and dogs aren't exactly terms of endearment. It's a lot easier to live by Jesus' standards when you realize they're a lot lower than you thought. :p

Both without sarcasm and argument.
But Jesus and God use sarcasm. I'm supposed to be like God, right? :)
