Ask About Islam

Ashoka

श्री कृष्णा शरणं मम
Again, you are thinking on how you want and on your terms. Quit belitting. Mohammad pbuh was one of the most influential people of all times...why? Jesus was number 3! (Imagine what Christians think as their God being on that list at number 3). So you really think that a man of that caliber would hurt the innocent?

Again, you should not degrade one of most beloved women in Islam.

I'm not degrading her. I am sticking up for her, because she was taken advantage of. Children should not be sent out to be married. It's wrong. It's not on my terms. It's on humanity's terms. If an old man wanted to marry a child today, that man would be arrested and charged with child endangerment. It's wrong now, so it's wrong then.

Aisha (raa), is one of the best women in Islam. She is revered, she is considered the Mother of the Believers. Over billions of Muslims know this to be true. She is well praised, loved and admired for her intelligence, her wisdom and her love for the prophet pbuh.

Times back then were different and if it were a bad situation, it would have had a bad outcome BUT IT WAS NOT LIKE THAT : )

Aisha was blessed to be the wife of Mohammad pbuh and he passed away when he was with her..he died between her chest and neck.

Plus back then, kings and queens were extremely young and ruled...even king tut was 10 when he ruled Egypt. Times were different. King of England (Edward was 14 married at 15)...This is History. Just saying, don't be too quick to judge back then was the norm.

Islam was sent as a mercy for mankind. Submission to the only one God, the Creator of the universe, the only one worthy of worship. Our duty upon this earth is to worship Him although we do not see Him, but we know He sees us.

If you have any questions regarding Islam, send a post here or in private and I will try to get back to you as soon as I am available.

Thank you,

MyM

What objective evidence can you demonstrate for any deity or deities?

Will try but know I do not submit to them and I only believe in my Creator and his guidance.
But if you want evidences without subjectivity well...that would be hard to do because most of them deal with a "belief" system rather than factual proof so you can't really ask that without knowing it to be true.

Again, nice try. Times have changed. Back then it was the norm.
Who cares? I expect that the emissary of the divine knows what is right and wrong at any time. Unless, of course, you think that the concept of right and wrong is time dependent, or culture dependent, as you seem to indicate.

So, you are like the Christians when they defend slavery, or the slashing of kids against walls. A quintessential moral relativist. Compelled to moral relativism to give slack to the ultimately immoral behaviour of the divinity they worship.

Correct?

Nowadays, you have girls walking the streets, girls getting raped, girls being molested, girls having incest, girls who get pregnant, girls sexually active, etc. But yet, when you have a marriage of decency, in wedlock, happily married and where both equally loved and trusted each other, to you, it is a horrible thing.
Times have changed however, and the men, women AND CHILDREN are in no way compared to Mohammad pbuh and never will be. The decency just doesn't exist as it did for Aisha.
Yes, we had similar incidents in Milan and Germany recently. All young Arab muslims molesting our women in public. What a strange coincidence. It is almost always the case. Young frustrated men who grew up in a culture where women have no value, or are assumed to wanting to be molested because they wear mini skirts and such.

And could be that time have changed; however it seems that most molesting of our women come from young frustrated Arab immigrants. All Muslims. May I, with all due respect for your culture, suggest that either you upgrade your view towards women to the 21st century, or you just stay in the country where you grew up?

I don't care to listen to that crap. You obviously refuse to listen to what I say about women. I have said lovely things and you can't get off your high horse and stop this slandering and hatred. You have no idea about Islam or high highly women are respected in it. Paradise lies at the feet of the mother. .... which society are you in where your mothers abandon their babies, throw them away like trash in the bin, put them up for adoption, and get pregnant in jr high school! Don't feed me your hatred on here unless you claim to be perfect which you are not nor is your society.

Well, the fact is that you are trying to come here, at any cost, not the other way round. So, I think our society must be better, unless you are masochists :)

I mean, fine with me. But you have to upgrade your view about women to what the people who kindly host you have.

That's your business. Prejudices are typical and Pride normal when defending your status. But don't push what you feel into what you don't understand. It's not nice to generalize. Imagine if all the billions of Muslims in this world were the way you said, the world wouldn't stand a chance.

But what I do stand by is not letting one practice their religion.

Depends what you mean by that exactly.

Suppose a hypothetical religion has some doctrine which requires followers to engage in a certain practice which is against the law of the land.

Engaging in said practice would then be illegal.
Would that qualify as "not letting them practice their religion"?

I say it doesn't. What say you?
