The message of Jonah is that G-d will not destroy a city of 120,000 people for no reason....it is a message of good ! So please keep the big picture in mind, Paar...don't lose the forest for the trees.

I usually get it by now but we didn't get back from our place up north until two weeks ago and we've been extremely busy as we were gone for an additional four more days helping our daughter out. I would have gotten my flu shot up north except we just got soap for the first time several months ago there and now we're soon hoping a shipment of deodorant will arrive for the first time.

I have no idea how you interpreted my short statement "Jonah was Jewish" to mean "Jonah was not a Jew". You reached a conclusion directly opposite of what I typed. I wasn't distinguishing between Jew and Jewish, that's on you.

I'll try again:
Jonah was a Jew (his mother was a Jew), Jonah was Jewish (he followed the Jewish religion), Jonah was a Jewish prophet (G-d told him to speak).

How many times do you have to be told that "Jewish" is a nationality, not a race. Secondly, how many times do you have to be told that "Jews" are all over the spectrum when it comes to "spiritual meanings"?

You didn't answer my question, and the name "Jew" is a nationality. For example, one could be an "Arab" but live in any country.

Jew comes from Judean. There was a kingdom of Judah in the Land of Israel for centuries, and the country was known as Judea for hundreds more. Judean is also equivalent with Israelite, and there was a kingdom of Israel for hundreds of years, the land has been called Israel for thousands of years, and there is a country called Israel on art of the same land now.

This is all common knowledge. Don't pretend to ignorance.
