4. Does not the taxpayers of this nation, through taxes, pay for the education received at military academies? Answer is Yes. Thus the foundation here is the taxpayers.

So, having met all the requirements for a "scholarship" it appears technically that our military academies do meet the requirements for offering "scholarships".

So, it appears that there are those that are flapping their gums for no apparent reason. Get over it and start figuring out who of the current candidates can change the course of this country and get it back on the right track. Since over 60% of the population thinks we are going in the wrong direction....

Still wrong. You have to APPLY. They don't offer. Everyone gets in free period.

You pulling out the dictionary does not change the fact they do not offer scholarships. You either pass or you don't.

You apply, you are accepted, you get in and don't have to pay for it. Still Carson is lying.

He still lied. And he also lied about the General who supposedly offered it to him that he met at that dinner. The General was found to be elsewhere. He wasn't even there. So, what about that?

Also, don't forget, Ben Carson didn't even APPLY to West Point in the first place. You have to apply to get anything from the school. This is not how they do it. Ben Carson didn't apply. Thus he wasn't accepted. Thus he didn't get any sort of "scholarship." He's a liar.

And if you don't want to talk about it you can go to plenty of other threads on here.

Some people do care about whether or not a possible next president is going to be a narcissistic liar. Been there, done that.

Stop pulling this bs out of air and just accept the fact he is a liar. He has lied about MANY things during this "campaign." This is just one out of many he has lied about.

Well my little pinko :D friend. You have to apply for a scholarship to institutes of higher learning, they don't offer. So, I really don't care what you think one way or another on the subject, because those that support Carson really don't care either on the "semantics" of the issue. (and no I neither support or don't support Carson). Don't see you and others having a hissy fit over Hillary's not telling the whole truth.....oh I forgot, your side gets a pass. :p

I do believe when one puts so many of Carson's statements into context, he seems to have a willingness to fabricate stories, and his attack on the media, which is often deserved, btw, is quite telling. It's blaming the messenger while pretty much avoiding the rather obvious fact that he has fabricated stories of his past.

And this is by no means the only thing that I worry about Carson. Anyone who is a YEC and anti-ToE, yet was obviously familiar with biological science, has some sort of disconnect that I believe is disturbing. It's not difficult to connect two large dots but somehow he has managed to do so.

He's still a liar.

He said he was offered a scholarship to West Point by a General who wasn't even there. They don't offer scholarships and you have to apply and he hadn't even applied at the point he was supposedly offered. He lied. Deal with it.

It's not fabricating. It's lying. The media has not been able to find a single person who has been able to confirm anything he has said period.
