It was strictly her choice to have baby.
Well in what way do you want to punish her for having been stupid enough to make a promise she couldn't keep? What punishment would satisfy you?

Ah, gotcha. Your insistence on how a woman needs to take responsibility for her actions means.....what, exactly?
Just go through with the pregnancy? Is that all, Mr. "So What?"
Talk about an uncalled for and rude response.....
You and I have very different ideas about the law.
Do you think that lying is moral or just? How about insulting another person? Adultery? I consider all of these things immoral, but I don't seek to make any of them illegal.
On what happens regarding the pregnancy? It's best to just realize and accept the full ramifications of this from the get go. It's called reality.

It would be along the lines of:
1) If she makes past a certain mark of income, the child won't receive child support anymore. The woman will fully pay for the expenses.
2) Once the child completes 18 years old, no more child support will be given and the woman will have to give back all the ammount received to support the child, monthly, or, if possible, in a single time, accordingly readjusted ( if needed ).

Lying? Depends.
Insulting another person? Yes, but this can be rather subjective. What one may regard as insulting, may not be for another person.
Adultery? Yes.
I would like to see everything i regard as immoral being illegal.
Well, I'm glad you're not in charge of making the law, then.
LOL. Oh the legal forms I could draw up! The "promissory abortion" document for the men... and the "take your chances" waiver form for the women. Wouldn't you just love to be a fly on the wall of bedrooms, hotel rooms and back seats everywhere?
How about:This whole thing makes me want to spearhead a media campaign to encourage women NOT TO SAY ANYTHING THAT COULD BE CONSTRUED AS A PROMISE OF ABORTION IN CASE OF ACCIDENTAL PREGNANCY.
Of course I will need a much shorter and catchier slogan. I'll need coffee first.
Wonder how it would change the one night stand scenes?LOL. Oh the legal forms I could draw up! The "promissory abortion" document for the men... and the "take your chances" waiver form for the women. Wouldn't you just love to be a fly on the wall of bedrooms, hotel rooms and back seats everywhere?
so what? You know pens exist out of bedrooms and hotel rooms, right?
so what?
I am not the one trying as hard as I can to get out of my responsibilities....So... here it is!
*Koldo gives a pen to Mestemia*
Now you don't need to sign any papers in a bedroom anymore.
I am not the one trying as hard as I can to get out of my responsibilities....
Nor am i the one wanting to allow others to do the same.
It means that the well being of the baby takes priority over a promise. And? What do you mean by that?
It means that the well being of the baby takes priority over a promise.
If she decides to have the baby then the promise not to have it has already been ignored . But I agree, they should find a solution that works for both of them. And for the child. Parents dont always get along well enough to do that, though, which is very unfortunate.Which doesn't mean the promise has to be ignored.
It is possible to reconcile both of them.
And, the marriage license is legally binding, and that the verbal promise was made in front of witnesses that the marriage would last until the death of one or both of them.
Of course, it doesn't matter if the dad is molesting the children, or the mom is chasing the dad around with a knife. That marriage should last by law because they both said they were okay with being married for life. They should face the consequences of their decisions.
