Christianity served another black eye by one of its own

Oh no, he speaks for God, here are his own words...

“I’m God’s preacher. I just believe the book."

So?

He could claim that he's a hairy red octopus, but does it magically come true when some idiot posts a video of it on YouTube?

We can plainly see that his claim to be a hairy red octopus are incorrect, but some people may be thoughtless enough to mistake him and his words as coming from some kind of leader significant enough for our anger and discussion.

Yes, it's difficult to see that he's insignificant, what with his cheap suit, empty seats behind him, and GASP!! it's online!!!! He must be speaking for ALL 2.2 BILLION CHRISTIANS!!!! YEEPERS!

WHAT THE HELL IS THE WORLD COMING TO WHEN A MORON CAN POST A VIDEO ONLINE

If I buy a rotten apple at a grocery store, that doesn't mean that every time I go to that store, there will be only rotten apples.
If people don't mind stereotyping all Christians by a few examples, then maybe they won't mind if I decide to start stereotyping them, too (Not that I'd do that)

No, but it does mean that all the other apples should lodge a protest, otherwise they're silently condoning the rottenness, apparently. :D

The silliness is getting extreme.
Thee is protesting far too much here.

You might very well make claims about God too, do you believe they'll magically come true?

He says he's speaking for God, so you best listen to him.

Self entertainment is self abuse. Please seek help.;) PLEASE

Yes, I was going to say...

I'm entertained by stupidity, sometimes my own. But no matter how hard I try (or how drunk I get), I cannot anticipate or duplicate the stupidity that I encounter elsewhere. That's why it's entertaining. That's why this thread isn't entirely useless to me. It has the value to entertain me, which is not something that I can say of other threads.

I can't even reconstruct the confused and diluted reasoning that would make you construct that question.

He says he's speaking for God, so you best listen to him.

Ha! He could say that he's a spiny pink cucumber. Who cares?

I completely understand. You have no idea how others view your beliefs.

Well, there's no shortage of incompetent judges. I'm not responsible for either (1) stupid people who claim to speak for God and (2) gullible or stupid people who believe it or (3) other stupid people who want to use stupid people who say stupid things to characterize an entire religion or my beliefs.

You can believe whatever stupid thing that you want, I don't care. Associating the ramblings of a stupid preacher with an entire religion or someone who has nothing to do with him is incredibly irresponsible on your behalf. It's thoughtless, irrational, illogical, and above everything else, stupid.

But, he says he speaks for God. Who are we to question him?

If you're stupid, you can believe anything you want for any stupid reason that you want. I don't care.

Evidently not, considering you made almost 1/4 of all the posts (17 of the last 75). Glad my OP, which you consider irrelevant, hasn't gone to waste. ;)

It's so difficult to think. I honestly don't blame you.
