Christians can't be Anti-Semitic

Even if Hitler was the most devout Catholic, that still doesn't mean anything: It's irrelevent. He didn't follow Jesus commands, he was in charge of exterminating millions of people. Yeshua certainly didn't teach any of that. I can call myself a dog, but that doesn't mean I am a dog. It is written:
James 2:19 You believe that there is one God, you do well; even the demons believe and tremble.
thank you Christine. But they seem not to understand this concept

We Christians are not Jews but nobody will erase the fact that we are not ashamed of saying that Jews are our brothers and that their Book is also ours.
In this Catholic Church a choir of children sings Gam Gam Gam Ki Elech
Just to show you how anti-Semitic we are, like someone here claims

I do stuff
Childish semantics. Who cares if he/she doesn't use the word Tanakh. She is not a Jew! Grow up.
According to Hay85 his, “mother reads the Old Testament. That's what makes her Jewish, in her opinion”. Referring to Jewish scripture as the Old Testament is more than “semantics” to Jews. The term Old Testament implies there is a New Testament. Most people who believe the New Testament is authoritative also believe the New Testament replaces the Old Testament. Indirectly, Christians are telling Jews that the Jews do not know how to interpret their own scripture. The Jews just don’t get it. If the Jews just wised up, they would throw out the Old Testament and accept the New Testament. It’s irrelevant the Old Testament was written by Jews, for Jews, using Jewish theology. It takes a Gentile to explain Jewish scripture to the Jews. Did I leave anything out?

Also, reading the Old Testament makes someone Jewish as much as reading a book on geology makes someone a rock.

No, dear. Christians do say that the Old Testament still stands as God's word. It is called Old because there is also the New. But one Testament does not exclude the other.
And Christians will never say that Jews can't interpret the OT.
They just say they didn't accept the New.

It's saying they can't interpret it properly...pretty much the same thing.

Imagine a Last Testament comes out in a few years and appropriates the OT and NT - with followers/believers/practitioner saying Jews and Christians are all wrong/backward.

Of course some groups have basically already done this. :D

They just say they remained backward because they didn't accept the New.

Islam has already done this. They say we Christians are backward.
So what? I deeply respect them...and I love them so much, for praising Jesus, his miracle and his holy life.

I don't accuse them of stealing "Christian culture" as some Jew is doing in this thread

And Islam itself is a blatant enemy of Christianity and Judaism, throughout it's time here. Not a coincidence by any means.

It also barely appropriates any of Christianity in comparison to Christianity's appropriation of Judaism. A couple of gnostic gospel stories and a Jesus who was never crucified or claimed to be the son of god.

Maybe so, but I've heard a lot of Jews say they are offended by the term "Old Testament". That is why I call the various books the Torah, Tanakh, etc and why I call the "New Testament" the "Christians Scriptures". Why unnecessarily offend someone?

I agree!! We Disciples of Jesus (Yeshua) are commanded to love everyone, and I mean EVERYONE. God, our brothers and sisters in Christ, our neighbors, and even our enemies. Hatred has no place in our faith, so I can't understand why so many people of our faith seem to harbor hate.

I know you might not like this, but,it is because they are not true christians.

Why do you perceive malice in my words?
Christians don't care what the Jews do or don't....they love all the people of the world...and maybe the Jews even more than the others.

Yes being thought of as "backward" is a huge compliment. The love is just so overwhelming.

Get over yourself. I am a Jew and I found no offence.
