I’m sorry. But how much worse does a candidate have to be as a convicted felon, chronic liar, and fraud as a business policy to be rejected as acceptable?
I know, right?! That really speaks to the faith people currently have in the Democratic Party.

This has nothing to do with democrats or Harris.
You keep telling yourself that. Your denial won't fix the issues.

There’s a serious problem with how conservatives think and make important decisions.
Um...are there more conservative voters now than there were in 2020? Because not only did the democrats lose the presidency; they also lost the senate.

What does that even mean? What do you mean by "in their past". If I pick up a gun and shoot someone, well that is "in the past" the moment after my finger squeezes the trigger. Would it be wrong to deprive me of my basic rights because of a "shortcoming in my past"?

So, a convicted felon should never be allowed the vote again? You ****ed up, so are forever never allowed to fully participate in our system? Just call them lepers and ship them off to an obscure colony somewhere?

And the popular vote! Rs have only won in the past 20 years because of the electoral college system.

If someone commits a crime that reflects on their integrity or suitability for office, before considering them for the highest office in the land, it would be prudent to wait until:

- they've paid their debt to society, and
- have shown some indication tbat they've changed their ways and will do better in future.

They have asked for the ID, this time.
Not the point. The previous election was not stolen - with Trump's regime in power at the time to make sure it was FAIR. And now the Dems are not going to cry stolen election because they are not simpletons - unlike Trump expecting his attempts at stealing not to have been recognised as such.

Did I say never? I asked you a question. What do you mean by "in their past"

Are you talking about a felon who has served their sentence and earned a second chance? Or are you talking about a felon who got away with their crime through politics?

In this case, I say it was more about Harris being
a weak candidate. (She was undistinguished in
the 2020 Dem primaries.) The only reason she
ran this time is because Biden withdrew, & she
was the default. The excitement surrounding
her was based on her being better than he was.
A low bar indeed.

That's a huge part of it. But who nominated her? It wasn't the GOP.

No, dear.
The problem is The Party. Not the candidate.

Yes. More US adults identify as Republicans than Democrats now:
