You are just attempting to derail.
Then you miss the point that you, an anti-capitalist, could post in the Conservative DIR.
Thus, it would not be safe from derailment by non-capitalists.

Or do you have some other reason to fear answering...perhaps that even
though you identify as a feminist, I'm far more liberal on women's rights?
Now, that would shake your weltanshauung to the core, eh?
What is obvious to so many here is that you're grasping at straws to prevent
a DIR forum to discuss & advocate for something you despise. Tolerance is
better than censorship.

So, fellow running dogs of capitalism....where do you thing the Capitalism (free market variety) DIR forum should go?
I say in there right next to the Socialist DIR, under The Political World.

If we become their new neighbor, do you think they'll bring us cookies?

Then we'll bring them some pumpkin pie.
(It might be closer to Thanksgiving when we get the forum.)

Once subjected to the blinding light of truth, justice, and the American Way it's all they'll have left.:D

Then we nick them for the EPA mandated "disposal fee".

I'm really quite the little capitalist. Do you realize how many frubals I got to vote for something I had already decided to vote for?

This is a bit of an aside - but are DIRs ever weeded - in that if they're empty/unused for a certain period of time, are they ever removed?

Was just wondering if I can get an answer for this.

Also Cynthia, it's very clear you just oppose the existence of the requested DIR - you said "give them an inch" which means you don't include yourself in it. Regardless of who is "included" or "Excluded" if you attempted to include yourself it would be rather disingenuous of you. If anything after reading the thread your posts have made me want to vote yes just to make it go away, rather than convinced me that it's a bad idea as you apparently believe.

OK.
Quag suggested that about a dozen posters would be enough interest to get a sub forum. We're closing in on twice that number.
Now what? Could a staff person tell us what's up?

Who was that last vote?
Did Cynthia finally crack?

If so, I think we are done. Nobody else has expressed the least interest.

If it wasn't her....

Ooh, what are the high folk discussing?
Tom
They usually sit around calculating pi or e out to tens of thousands of decimal places.
And sometimes they watch porn....really high class intellectual porn (where the women
wear glasses & the men have slide rules).

Can I vote YES twice if I buy my second YES for $42 dollars?
I think this YES is a great product, has it been patented yet?
And if I buy it, doesn't that make it mine?
And if it is mine, can I resell it on eBay?
And if I resell it on eBay, do I now have to add a California state tax to the sell?
And what will Jerry Brown do with the tax?
Help pay for the salary of the Water Board attorney who is Pelosi's sister's nephew?

... and how many times has that $42 dollars exchanged hands and brought happiness to some?
