Does the Christian God want you in heaven?

I do not deny gods existence. I am not convinced God exists.
No .. you said "How can I not want to be with a god that I do not believe exists?"

That is denying His existence .. you don't believe .. same thing.
You contradict yourself.
You say "God doesn't want you", but it is your disbelief that causes you to be separated from believers [ and hence God ]

Not believing and denying are not the same. If I say I do not believe there is a horse in my backyard, I am not saying that there is not a horse in my backyard. I am just not convinced that there is.

The difference is that my children would know that I exist and love them and could come back at any time. I have is no good reason to believe God exists. They can make an informed decision.
I'm sorry, but you are not consistent.
Why are you talking about something that does not exist, as though it exists, and then changing your tune about it not existing, when you want?

For example, my parents divorced when I was 13. This changed my life in some ways that it would not have if they stayed together. It changed my relationship with my parents and brought some issues into my marriage that I had to deal with. In these ways I would be a different person, with different issues due to the divorce. Life experiences change us.
I don't get your argument. It's not following any reasonableness or coherency.
I don't think it's going anywhere.
So I am bowing out... until it makes any sense... if it ever does at any time.
Right now, it's inconsistent.

This is not the point. The point is that God requires us to be perfect to be with us in heaven. I must be a new person as you say. God does not want to be with me in heaven the way I am today.
God? You mean the non-existent existence.

Sorry, but I think you lost me. You seem lost yourself. Aren't you?

Maybe addressing my point will allow us to not go deeper into this 'jungle' you created.

I addressed your point, remember, but it's not one you want to consider.
So... until some other time. Bye for now. :)

Yes it would change me.
So even you don't want to be [with] the person you are.
You want to be a different person.

OK .. so you are not convinced..
..so you belong to the "atheist tribe". :)

God Almighty wants you in the "believing tribe", but you are not. That is why faith is important for salvation.
Your brain is ruling over your heart.

eg. you claim that molecules[the physical] is responsible for everything,
and there is no particular reason why we are all here

Muffled

Jesus in me
Really?
My brain tells me that free-will and "compulsion not to sin" are mutually exclusive.
If we use our free-will for the good, we can spiritually grow.
If not..

I believe we can use our free will to ask for compulsion. That is what making Jesus Lord is about.

I agree the bible says god does this. Give me good reasons to believe it is true.

Nobody gets instant perfection. I spent years worrying about all the sins I kept doing and complaining to God that there is no teaching about just how to overcome sin. I used to hear people say that we can't do it in our own strength but they never said how to access the strength that comes from God.
But even though that happened to me I was slowly being taught the way and how to access that strength and slowly being changed so that I did not sin as much and grew more as a person. The Holy Spirit in you does it even when you don't know much about Christianity at all.
Gal 2:19 For through the law I died to the law so that I might live to God. 20 I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

We can read something like that and not really understand it and it is only slowly that we see how it works and understand it a bit more.
It is our job to have faith as much as we can and pray and read the Bible and fellowship and try to love and let God work in us to give understanding and to see that it is true in our lives

I wish I could give you the full answer but the I will have to give you all the Scriptures.

I'm going to try to give it in a nutshell. The Scriptures is salvation history - the various accounts of how God dealt with the sin of humanity over thousands of years. The promise of salvation is given in the first chapters of Genesis.

The crux of the matter is this: God made many promises to many people and to His people (the Jews), Israel. God made good on each and every promise - all of them. That tells us all we need to trust Him.

Every word of God proves true. That is what all the Old Testament as well as New Testament accounts proves. It is in the history. That is why it had been recorded for us so we can KNOW Him (the basis of our faith is knowledge of God) and discover that He is RELIABLE and could be trusted.

Faith = knowledge and trust..........................

He is a shield to those who take refuge in him (trust Him) Ps. 30:5)

All of His promises are 100% true and we can throw ourselves upon them entirely. Every single word will prove true, and nothing can stop God from fulfilling all His promises to us.

God’s promises are so trustworthy that they are a shield to us. We can take refuge in His promises, hope in them, trust in them, rest completely in them. When Satan throws fiery darts at us, the promises of God shield us from them.

Cast all your anxiety on Him because he cares for you (1 Pet. 5:7)

We are tempted to try to take care of everything on our own. We try to solve our problems. The Lord is the only one who can fully take care of all our problems. He knows our issues even before we go to Him in prayer. We can cast all our anxieties onto God because he cares about us and will take care of us.

God has proven this to all of humanity too many times to count. How can we not trust Him?

I have a different faith and I am not a part of your "we".

Yes, it does.

Do you have nothing better to do than pasting the same silly words to all posts. Is that how your faith reacts to the word? Or is it just you?

You really don't get it, do you. The certainty you have about your faith, is the same amount of certainty I have about my faith.

And all you are saying, I can do in reverse and it still doesn't solve anything. My certainty is the right one and yours aren't, because I speak for the "we". Now you will reject that and I just do that in reverse.
