I don't think I would be convinced by that. Miracles are indistinguishable from sufficiently advanced technology.

Of course I wouldn't be 100% that the person turning off gravity is God but I'd be inclined to believe so

Dude! Clarke's Law deserves citation, even if you did paraphrase! :p

Authors get no respect, man....

More than 3 thousand million people believe in a creator and they have all failed to present evidence to backup their beliefs. I wouldn't expect to find it here on a forum. But please go ahead.

Could it be that 2 thousand + million of us couldn't care less whether or not someone else believes what we do?

"Failed" implies "tried".

In that sense, I've "failed" to provide evidence for my beliefs in the same way that I've failed to translate the phone book into Pig Latin.

I would happily call him God if he wants. Just don't steal my gravity please!

I wouldn't expect such an apathy for such a big amount of people. But I guess you are right, it "could be". lol

"Apathy"? So if a theist tries to convince you to believe what they do, they're getting in your face, but if they don't, they're being "apathetic"?

You seem to have some unique ideas about your own entitlements and other people's responsibilities.

edit: lol

Just a way of speaking. What I meant, is that having such a large group of people, I would expect several of them to try to convince others of their beliefs. In the same way, I would expect several of them not to do it (apathetics!! .... kidding :))

Yeah, sorry about that. :p

Just bad timing: I'd just had some idiot reading my computer screen over my shoulder here in the library note the title of this site and suddenly launch into a (loud) lecture about the pitfalls of religion and how I was brainwashing myself by tuning into what he called the "Jesus channel".

Didn't mean to take that out on you.

Now I'm waiting for him to get comfortable behind his computer so I can sneak up behind him and yell, "Hey man, I don't think you're supposed to be downloading porn in here".

Wish me luck.

Several do. See the op.

Now, if you expect them to do it WELL.... well, we have to agree on some groundrules before I can argue or agree. ;)

Some would, others would not.

The motives and reasoning of each camp vary by individual.
so this confirms why Allah isn't seeing himself to us, because it's useless "mostly" , who will not believe will not believe even if the god showed himself, and who really believe has the chance to strive for the truth

I really don't see how you got "this proves that Allah won't reveal himself because people are on worthy" from "people are individuals with their own reasons for what they do."
