There have been cases where the ACLU has defended the first amendment right of NAMBLA. They also, if I remember correctly, fought to make sure a man accused of homosexual statutory rape wasn't treated differently than if he had committed heterosexual statutory rape.
Those are probably what he's referring to.

The ACLU defends the rights of anyone who has had their rights violated.
Perhaps if your favorite religious group were to stop trying to take the rights of others away, the ACLU would not have to defend them?

If protecting equal rights for everyone is an agenda, than I'm on board. I'm so filled with that agenda it's ridiculous, because while you don't realize it, I'm also protecting your rights as well. I'm only protecting your rights to the extent that your rights do not infringe upon the rights of others. It's amazing how christians try to portray themselves as the ones being persecuted, when in fact they're the ones doing the persecution, and trying to minimize the rights of others. When you start dictating who can and can't get married thats when your impinging on other peoples rights.

I had no idea that letting everyone have access to the first amendment was such a problem for some people. (then again my religion was illegal in the USA until after I was born)
And really... the big "anti-christian" action is defending the rights of veterans of other faiths to not have their sacrifice be belittled by having their graves marked by one faiths holy symbol? Really?
Are you Christians so insecure that you can't let the dead lay in peace. Do you really need to cover the country in your gaudy kitsch?
Does the 20 odd % of Americans who are not Christian threaten you so very much?

Not science, Danmac, and not interpretation. The SCIENTIFIC METHOD. It's a method. Do you have the slightest idea what it is? Do you, or do you not, believe that the scientific method is a good way to learn about the natural world?
