Looks like I need to go into basics with the A-team...

Question 2
How did the universe come into existence? … and when did you come to know?

Peace be upon you.

Yeah, arguing with some people is pointless. I'm convinced now that Fatihah is just a very good troll. If you think about it, it makes sense. He somehow managed to keep people from realizing it, thus making him good at it. But he's still a troll. More often than not, he doesn't contribute to a discussion any more than to demand proof, even when you do give proof. Hence, troll.

We'll see who's the troll in a little while... just answer my questions.

Peace!

Considering the myriad of creation stories permeating the globe I wonder if in the distant future the "ToE" will be regarded as "Just another creation myth".....".....then it came to pass that the terrible lizard created all the flying creatures of the air, and those feathered varieties that walk upon the land also "

PW... I know forensics is different than the genetics used in evolution, but if forensics , as is known , is not hundred percent reliable even from short time spans ago, how can you be certain that it is accurate over millions of years ? particularly regarding lineages and the assertion that we came from an ancestral gene pool

[QUOTE Autodidact]

What I want to know is: Is Fatihah too inconsiderate to learn how to use the quote function, or too stupid? Or maybe he's just really, really stubborn.[/QUOTE]

Response: The better question is why you are so stuck on yourself that you've reduced your argument from ToE to the quote function.

[QUOTE Autodidact]And it's all about you.
As I told you pages ago, all you have to do is type [ quote ] (without the spaces) and [ / quote ] (without the spaces) before and after what you type. (End quote)

Response: Or I could not do it, and continue posting as normal. I choose option B.

(Quote Autodidact)
Your apparent inability or unwillingness to learn this new information is consistent with your approach to scientific subjects.(End quote)

Response: Coming from a person who says that ToE isn't true and believes in it anyway, you shouldn't be talking.

I have already tried to teach him, but unfortunately, he stubbornly preferred it his way.

To Fatihah:

There are 8 icon buttons on the top LEFT, above where you type your message, fatihah. Use the last one (next to the button with picture of mountains).

Copying and paste the text in between the opening and closing QUOTE tags (QUOTE inside the square brackets). If you are going to put someone's name, use the equal sign (=) followed by the name.

It's that simple.

Response: And the same answer you got then is the same answer now. It's that simple.

Response: Post 1389 of page 139 proves to the contrary.

how come you can use quote in your reply to me in post #2289, but failed to quote properly in 2287 and 2288?

The reason why we ask you to quote properly, so that it is more readable, separating other people's view from your own view.

Response: I can't multiquote on the blackberry. The option is not there. As you can see from this post, there is no problem because I'm not multiquoting.

There is no problem in reading the post. I read it fine, as well as many others. The difference in the brackets will not make the post easier to read. That's absurd. Words don't magically become clearer just by simply using a bracket instead of a parenthesis. You're making a mountain out of a molehill.

Response: You don't have the authority on what's the right or wrong way. The other brackets are not on the blackberry keypad. I would have to go to a certain options menu just for one bracket then scroll the menu again just to get the second one. I'm not doing that. The parenthesis is more convenient for me.

Actually, I do have the authority. This isn't a debate. There is a way to do it correctly, and ways to do it incorrectly. You're doing it incorrectly.

Then what about all of the other times you don't quote correctly, even when it's not a multiquote?

There is no problem in reading the post.

Not for you because you don't have to. However, you're not the one reading it. That's like telling someone their job is easy when you're not the one who has to do it.

I guess we shouldn't expect anything else from you at this point. It's not absurd. It's confusing. If you made the quote bold or even in italics, it would make it easier. It's all about distinguishing. Sure, your posts are legible, but that doesn't mean they're easy to read. Quoting properly makes them much easier to read and understand.

Response: You have authority? Well I just overrode your authority. See example below.

I've moved on from "I know you are, but what am I". I left 3rd grade many, many years ago. I wish you'd do the same.

Response: You're the same person who doesn't know the difference between the words "could" and "can". (Post 1484 of page 149). And yet, you've moved on from the 3rd grade.
