Florida Mass Murder

In modern vernacular usage, "to beg the question" is sometimes used to mean "to invite the question"
So, yes, it begs to be asked why we aren't hearing of widespread searches to find the guy if he called 911 and pledged loyalty to ISIS.
I'm to pedantic & set in me ways to be that modern.
You young whippersnappers!

I may be mistaken; but, I thought I read the shooter made the call WHILE he was in the club murdering people. If so, they did not have to launch a search for him, he had already told them.

I QUIT carrying a gun a year ago.
I STARTED carrying a gun today!
No one is going to hurt an innocent if I can stop it and I CAN stop it
if given half an opportunity.
And I WILL.
Call me paranoid if you want.
Tell that to the folks in Florida.
Anyone that elects to carry a firearm should practice to the level of expert.

I wonder why I feel less safe than I did yesterday!!

Earlier on the Sky News presenter was exercising his straight privilege. It's ridiculous that this mass shooting was a homophobic attack by a man who was revolted by two men kissing in the street, who then targeted a nightclub for LGBT people. It was an attack against people being free and enjoying themselves, not because they were gay, apparently.

The nightclub was attacked because it was full of people...

'Straightsplaining' sounds like an apt term for this.

"The problem with putting Muslims at the top of your victimhood hierarchy is that THEY WANT TO KILL EVERYONE ELSE ON THE LIST" - Milo

Obama has divorced himself from reality, yet again in a shameful "address" he would not use the term "Islamic terrorism" 12 hours after we find out Omar Mateen called 911 and the cops to pledge his loyalty to ISIS as he was carrying out his mass murders in Orlando, this president who was already briefed of the facts declared that “we have no definitive assessment on the motive"... Really?

America’s national attitude toward gay people didn’t mass murder homosexuals in Orlando, radical Islam did.

As for the suspect in L.A., we saw the same far left say he is an example of the "national attitude toward gay people"... Really? Now it turns out this guy was gay himself, in the article below we find he was already in trouble for pointing a gun at his boy friend:
"... witnesses also described Howell as having pointed his gun at his boyfriend in an earlier incident." (see link http://touch.latimes.com/#section/-1/article/p2p-87539808/)...

Has the father of the Orlando Islamic terrorist been taken in yet? He was seen in a video dressed in camouflage attacking America, ran for president of Afghanistan and apparently *thinks* he is president of Afghanistan and is a supporter of the Taliban.

In many Muslim countries it is legal to decapitate homosexuals and throw them from buildings.

I can't think of any non-muslim countries where that is legal , so it should not surprise anyone that those who have that mentality ingrained into them might do this.

That isn't to say very many muslims want to kill gays , but it is a phenomenon common and accepted in the Islamic world.

Now that Christians have a printing press so that they can actually own a copy of the teachings of Christ , adapted to science, technology, and lessons learned from history, and are no longer predominantly illiterate, Christianity has by and large moved out of the Dark Ages.

I know some Muslims who want to see Islam move that direction as well , but as long as there are entire Governments that legalize the killing of gays, stoning adulterers, killing people for blasphemy etc. They keep millions of people in the dark ages, and I see little evidence of progress.

That sad dark-age bigoted ideology continues to infect many of those living in the free-world .

There are Christian governments in Africa that are just as anti-gay as some Muslim governments.

Don't forget where Muslims got their anti-gay ideas from; The Bible.

Except according to his own family it was his hatred of the LBGT community that sent him over the edge, and, yes, America does still have a nasty attitude towards LBGT given the trend of increasing violence towards LBGT individuals.
In many Muslim countries it is legal to decapitate homosexuals and throw them from buildings.
Except that ******* wasn't from a Muslim country. He was an American, where attitudes against LBGT range from demented perverts, someone to keep your kids from, psychologically disturbed, and even some fringe politicians have called for the execution of homosexuals. For awhile now crime and violence against homosexuals has been on the rise, and that ****er took to a whole new level.
But, don't pretend for a moment that America is a land of acceptance and roses for the LBGT community. We're not Iran, but many places refuse to acknowledge and grant civil rights and protections towards the LBGT community, and many states are fighting tooth and nail to keep the LBGT community on a level that would give them fewer protections than a dog.

It begs the question that had he called 911 and pledged loyalty to ISIS, why the hell weren't the police out looking for him? It's not like you can place a truly anonymous call anymore and not be seen by no fewer than dozens of cameras, especially if it's true he was being watched.

Actually it was learned today that it was during the attack, not before, that he called 911 pledging his loyalty. Also this guy was questioned 3 times by the FBI 2013-2014 concerning ties to radical islam. If he was on a terror watch list why was he able to purchase fire arms? Should be against the law.

This guy had all kinds of red flags, he abused his wife, and a former co-worker claimed he always made statements of hate against homosexuals, blacks, and women.

Unfortuantely, you cannot lock people away for acting suspiciously. You know, "innocent till proven gulity" and all that ...

I get all that, but as I said above, the FBI investigation of him and the watch list, he should have at least been prevented from purchasing a fire arm.

This is a bigger deal to me than most modern Abrahamic religionists seem to grasp.
While most of them have more sophisticated ethics and morals than the authors of scripture, the Scriptures are still there and influence people who are not so sophisticated. The ancient premise of "divine collective punishment" is still alive and well in the modern world. It is used to justify hate crimes against people who would have been hated and oppressed by the ancients who wrote the stuff in the first place. If, for example, one doesn't oppose gay people (violently if necessary) then one is opening up oneself and entire culture to divine retribution. That concept can easily be deduced from the scriptures based on the Original Testament, and that is the primary source for both the NT and Quraan.

Ironically, the Jewish people seem least inclined that way. I suspect that is because 2000 years of cultural homelessness and oppression burned it out of them as a group. Also because Judaism is essentially tribal and the concept of "everyone has to do things our way or God will punish all of us" isn't as strong as it is in religions invented after henotheism.

So in our blame game are we going to mention that the thwarted bomber in LA with a car full of weapons and explosives looking to attack the LA pride parade was a NRA card carrying conservative Christian? That backwards violent homophobia is still alive and well within the Christian faith?

The government decides to investigate you so your Constitutional rights cease to exist?

You really can't see the gigantic moral problems there?
Seriously?
